I like this game quite a lot, it's not just a mindless parkour game because the levels actually make you stop and think before carrying out your actions. I get why some people won't like the combat because it's outdated, but personally I thought it was pretty fun and ironically intense at times
I really wanted to like it but it executes on most of the elements so badly. The gameplay has a good idea behind it, but it tends to feel very clunky and inconsistent. The writing is overall very bad and cheesy. I kinda wanted there to be more running and less fighting, since the fighting is definitely not a strong suite. Guns feel kind of awful but are also super powerful, and the enemy AI sometimes randomly completely obliterates you (not to mention that its completely insane for there to be so many heavily armored cops randomly opening fire on you at all times). I get that people like this game a lot, but it feels like other than the specific vibe this game has, it doesn't have much else to offer. (It also look pretty damn good for its age) Disappointed :(
Love this game. Have replayed it many times over the years.
This game completely shifted my feel of self and existing and gives me a heavy hit of nostalgia every time, from game launch to save-and-exit. This game started my addiction to similar feeling games. Sadly there is only one other, Catalyst, but they are both... Simply perfect.
Nice art and parkour. But many times: gap not jumped, ledge not grabbed, pipe simply released instead of jumping. Causing frustrating dumb mistakes from game side. So many times I perfectly jumped, but game just "nope, you didn't approach scripts trigger from exact angle we wanted" so whole game must be treated as cinematic experience with methodic preparating for jump, not actual parkour. Still fun when it works
Está bastante divertido pero la historia flaquea un montón
лучше за эти же деньги купить catalyst версию
Mirror’s Edge is genuinely one of those games every true gamer should experience at least once. Even today, it still feels unique thanks to its incredible visual style, parkour-focused gameplay, and overall atmosphere. There really aren’t many games like it. I originally played it back on Xbox 360, so revisiting it now brings a huge wave of nostalgia. The clean futuristic aesthetic, the music, the sound design, and the overall vibe are all amazing. The story itself is also solid. You have to perform a bit of black magic to get the PC version working properly on modern systems, but once everything is fixed, the game is completely playable and still incredibly enjoyable. I also highly recommend reading the Mirror’s Edge comics — they’re available online for free and add extra depth to the world and characters. A true 2000s classic!
