Mining Rail

This game is one of THOSE games, the sort that's clearly someones pet project in Unity that eventually got fleshed out to the point where they felt confident enough to release it. I will say this, it's not a bad game at all nor a bad concept but it needs more fleshing out. For what it is this game is solid and playable while actually taking some skill which is somewhat rare these days. If you need something to spend your time on and don't mind some of the negative traits often associate with Unity you could certainly do a lot worse then Mining Rail. If I was to offer a piece of advice to the developer though I would say lean into the silliness of the concept. If taken further this game can't be serious, it just can't, the concept will not support it but if you doubled down on the rediculous nature of the game it could work out very well. Add in some more music options perhaps themed to the levels, more to do in addition to just dodging two or three obstacles, and find your own style/graphics setup outside of Unity standard and this simple game could become a hit. It's just the right mix of a simple concept with competent base gameplay to have real potenital.

※追記です。 ランダム生成要素が好きな方でもこのゲームは未チェック という方も多いのではと思います。 すでにDeveloperさんの気配も皆無ですし、セールもされませんし 見捨てられたゲームではあるのですが 一度体験してみて欲しいゲームです。 レールのパーツを単に組み替えるだけでなく、レールに合わせて 周囲の地形（風景）もランダム生成され、その精度も高いので 毎回手作りしたような自然なランダム生成ステージが出来上がります。 飽きずに何回でも遊べると言うのはよく聞きますが このゲームはまさにそれです。 強気な価格設定のショボいUnityインディーズゲーム みたいな雰囲気全開ですが、一度遊んでみて下さい。 面白いです。 コースをランダム生成してくれるのが最高ですし そこをトロッコで滑り降りていく気持ち良さも格別です。 そのランダム生成機能が驚くほど優れていて はじめから作ってあるもののように 違和感の無い自然なステージが出来上がります。 プリセットされたコースをクリアしていくモードが メインなのですが、例えばSuperflightや Descendersのようにランダム生成コースの方を もっとウリにすれば良かったのにと思います。 重心移動とブレーキを使ってカーブをうまく パスしていくのですが、それだけでなく ブレーキ音でレール上の動物をどかしたり ガイコツやワシがヘルプしてくれたり 先を走ってる人が出現したりと 結構色々な要素が用意されています。 懇切丁寧なチュートリアルもあります。 ワシは動物をどけてくれるだけでなく コインやジェムも自動で取ってくれます。 難易度が上がるとコースレイアウトも難しくなり 距離も伸びて、かなり手応えのあるバランスに。 アナログスティック操作のほうがやりやすく KBではコケやすいようです。 トロッコのアップグレード要素もあり 高難易度で効果を発揮します。　 コースで手に入るジェムはコンティニューや ヘルパーを呼ぶのには使わずに Shopでコインに換金したほうが良いようです。 コインはアップグレードに必要です。 サウンドも良く、音楽は緊張感のあるものですし 特に車輪がレールを走る心地よい音や 自然環境からの音などSEがしっかりしています。 視点は三人称と一人称が選択可能です。 リプレイもあり（アンロックが必要ですが） ゴール後にYを押せば見られます。 男性と女性の炭坑夫が選べます。 動物がとても自然に存在しており良い感じです。 インディーズゲームで見かける チャチさや品の無さをウリにしたような部分は無く ごくまじめな内容です。 それぞれのステージをワールドと呼ぶほどの 大きな環境の変化はなく、そこは水増し間があります。 ランダム生成コースを保存する術が無いのも残念。 一番解らないのはタイトルやバナーの無頓着さで これではつまらないのでスルーして下さい と言ってるようなものでは。 ついあともう一回やっちゃおう と続けてしまうような、爽快で癒しのあるゲームです。 50時間以上遊びましたが インディーズゲームの隠れた名作だと思ってます。 ランダム生成される、まだ見ぬ鉱山レールを求めて トロッコに飛び乗ってみませんか？ あとできればUnityアセット丸ごと使用とかでなく できるかぎり自分たちで作ったゲームなら良いなぁ と思います。たぶんそうだと思いますが。

This game is the Dark Souls of leaning into turns. Features: - It's eurojank - You can summon Mr. Bones for a Wild Ride - AI minecart rider you can rear-end The Good: - It's eurojank - Simple concept that's fun and generally well-executed - Seems pretty well-optimized (Deck can run it at ~8-9W, 60 FPS) - You get to watch yourself fly off the track if you corner badly - You do a flip if you reach the end fast enough The Bad: - It's eurojank - No in-game gamma setting - World themes are a bit same-y - Upgrades are a bit of a grind and some (friction and brakes) might actually be downgrades, with no way to respec The Weird: - You may want to disable the vertical axis on the left stick in Steam Input so you don't accidentally brake too much and run out of momentum Verdict: More people need to play this.

Прошёл туториал и попробовал погонять в первый уровень - зацепило. Оригинальная идея (покрайней мере, я такого не видел). Всё довольно забавно сделано, сложно, но круто! Будем играть ещё

This is a game I bought on sale and then tried a little. But it quickly disappeared from the radar. I brought it up again recently and now I really appreciate this it. It may be overly grindy and still a bit unfinished when it comes to presentation and menus and such. The feeling of whizzing down the mountainside in sharp turns is strangely mesmerizing and at the same time relatively demanding and with a good balance between risk and reward. Can not remember having played anything similar before, appreciates the originality, a slightly different racing game.

get's better over time. very smooth experience. can recommend it.

Am Anfang konnte ich mich mit diesem Spiel überhaupt nicht anfreunden, nach längerer Zeit mal wieder aktiviert und siehe da, ich komme gar nicht mehr davon weg. Wer Geschwindigkeit mag und seine Reaktionsfähigkeit testen bzw. trainieren möchte ist bei diesem graphisch schön gemachten Spiel vollkommen richtig.
