Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 1 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Instead of using top rated movies, they used top grossing movies, so prepare to see a LOT of Marvel questions. Also after a short while you'll get multiple words per puzzle so a lot of movies are repeated constantly. It'd have been better to use several words from one movie in one puzzle and then not use that movie again. Lastly, their controls are horribly implemented. I played on the Steam Deck with touch screen, which I never had any problems with before in other games, but in this game it'll constantly think you started out on a different letter. Funny idea, bad execution.
This is a really cool trivia type game where you need to make the word that fits the question on the left. It takes just over an hour to complete the game and unlock all the achievements.
AT A GLANCE

Game Name: Mini Words - Top Movies
Original Release: 2020-04-10
Genre Tags: Casual, Puzzle, Spelling, Word Game
Estimated Playtime (Campaign): 1-2 hours
100% Achievements Playtime: 1-2 hours
DLC Required for 100% Achievements: No
Multiplayer Aspect: None
Replayability: None
Recommended To: Casual Gamers, Achievement Hunters

REVIEW
Mini Words - Top Movies is a casual, spelling, word game, puzzle game. It is the second game in the Mini Words series.
STORY
There is no story, background, or setup to the game.
GAMEPLAY
The goal of the game is to spell words in the allotted letters given, without crossing lines or leaving any letters unused. The words needed are all answers or partial answers around movies. The puzzles come in packs of 10 and the amount of words needed increases slightly as you progress. The problems and solutions are fixed so there is no deviation in the results. If you get stumped there are word puzzle tools online, and there are guides for each puzzle number.
PLAYTIME
The game is pretty easy for anyone with modern movie knowledge. If you are a Disney fan, there are a lot of questions you should get correct. There are 100 puzzles to complete. Play time for this game is ~1-2 hours to complete all puzzles and get all achievements.
COMPLAINTS
There is nothing specific to complain about for this game.
REPLAYABILITY
The game doesn’t have any replayability since the puzzles do not change.
RECOMMENDATION
I recommend this game to anyone that likes casual word games or is an achievement hunter.
Not recommending this one - I truly believe that the choice of the movies was a very bad one. Most of the questions are about generic popcorn trash. If all you watch is Marvel garbage - maybe this will keep you entertained, but unfortunately there is nothing to learn in this game. I would much prefer some questions about classic movies rather than several questions about Despicable Me. Honestly, in my everyday life I have way bigger chance to remember and think about the kind of movies such as Alien or Terminator (very banal examples but still) than about mainstream trash like god-knows-which-part of Fast and Furious.
Hard to complain for less than a dollar. Like the "top games" mini words, I like that this version is built around trivia. I'm not a movie buff by any means but I knew most of the answers without needing to look them up (or could guess) -- some questions about directors and composers were trickier, but then they also asked you what color the Hulk is so...its doable for an amateur. Chill way to kill a couple hours.
Giving a positive review to this game is weird. But: the negative review would be an overkill. I just wish steam had a neutral review option. But yeah: This game is '50/50' in my opinion. It's fun, it works as it should, It's mostly okay. But the content is honestly a little bit limited. Top 100 highest-grossing movies are in here. Most of them are from Disney, or Marvel too. Yeah, then of course Star Wars, Harry Potter. And some other movies that are well known. It does feel like there isn't 'enough' diversity. Maybe it should've been top 200 or I dunno. Limiting questions per franchise would help. But yeah, It isn't a bad game by any means. The price is low, so It is good in my opinion. I'm simply going to give it a positive review.
It's way shorter than the first Mini Words I played, which I appreciate. If you are familiar with Disney titles like Star Wars, Marvel, etc with a few other geek movies thrown in like Harry Potter and so on. It's a fun, short game. Well worth the buck!
Mini Words: Top Movies is what seems to be a mobile app that's been lazily dumped on Steam as a greedy cash grab from mobile devs. It's a basic trivia game where you're presented with a simple trivia question about a top grossing movie. Put your finger on your phone screen and swipe over the letters to make the word that answers the question. You can play these games for free on mobile, so it's inexcusable for a mobile dev to try charging money for this on Steam, which is for PC games. Who do they think we are?
Once again a quite fun Mini Words game, which can be completed in under two hours. Some of the solutions are of course hard to know if you're not an avid movie watcher, but even with my average knowledge I managed to solve a good bit of levels on my own.
