disclaimer: I helped with beta testing, which mostly involved proofreading, and it didn't influence my review, which is of the final version. mini words: top games is identical to mini words: top movies (so my review will be very similar as well), this time dealing with some of the best video games. once again, you have to find words among a bunch of letters to complete each level. it plays very similarly to the excellent lyne, only with words, and of course it resembles all the word games ever on mobile. the 10 level packs hold 10 levels each, only one pack is unlocked at a time, but the levels are all available at once and can be done in any order. keep the mouse button pressed until you finish creating the words by moving horizontally, vertically or diagonally, but you can (and often have to) go back and forth to make longer words than the number of letters on the screen (e.g. using 't', 'e' and 'x' you can create text by using 't' twice), but you have to use all the letters at least once. much like in top movies, you're given a description for every word, which can be the name of a game, developer, character or location, or maybe a well-known item or mechanic. after solving a word, some info about the relevant game comes up. nice touch, as is the limited level selection within a level by clicking the level number, no need to go back to the menu, then the actual level selection screen. apparently, after 3 games I'm starting to get used to the just about acceptable presentation, some of the color combinations look pretty good, and this time I didn't even use the static background toggle. still no music, only a few sound effects, but there is a volume slider. no resolution options or windowed mode per se, but you can resize the game window to various percentages, 100% being full screen, it's good enough. and I'm not saying the text is completely error-free, but this time most of the typos got corrected before release. top games is more of a pop culture word game, but I think there's more educational value here than in top movies. that one was basically marvel central because it was based on box office success, but this has oldies and point & clicks and financial flops like grim fandango, and a wider variety of information in general. and being the big nerd I am, I was more familiar with the topic and barely had to google anything. if you yearn to test your game-specific vocabulary, definitely check it out, the 100 levels take about 2 hours. I mentioned the milking potential in my top movies review linked above, so let's say this game happened because of that and I'm looking forward to one about food, one for kids (and me) with drawings instead of descriptions, and if you must, one about sports and history or other boring topics.
A nice game with words and fun facts about games. Played with my family, we had a lot of fun. There are many games from the past I had never heard about. But my father knew many of them, we googled and saw some gameplay videos together, it was nostalgic for some and refreshing for others. It was great to see how games evolved along the years!
I'm a huge fan of Mens Sana Interactive games! they're simple, beautiful and challenging! Mini Words: Top Games is an excellent way to test your knowlegde in this amazing world. We have questions about game titles, characters, places, items, production team and a lot of cool stuff. The game is beautiful, it has a relaxing audio and is very fun to play! I recommend!
Another great game to the mini words series! It made me remember and feel all good moments playing video games, and made me known new titles that i lost, Perfect for who love games and want to learn more about there history! Very recommended!
A cool game to test your knowledge about games, mechanics very easy to understand and with really cool questions about games of all ages, I recommend it to any gamer who wants to test their knowledge.
A very nice "cross-word" like game based on gaming trivia! The aesthetic and sounds effects in general are pretty cool for a game of this genre. Some challenges are very tricky and got me by surprise (guess I should do my homework). If you like this genre, I very much recommend it!
Mini Words: Tops Games sets a simple goal for itself and does it nicely. Minimalist Find-the-word word puzzle game about games. Just you, hints, your memories, and maybe google once in a while! No accompanying music, which was surprisingly nice It can be a satisfying nostalgia trip, especially when it reminds you of some games you haven't touched in years <3 I think I might replay this with friends. It would make for a cool party game :) Recommended for chilling if you're over saturated with games :)

[도전과제 100%] 겜잘알을 넘어서 겜박사 정도 되어야 깰 수 있는 퀴즈+선잇기 게임 --------------------------------------------------- A quiz + line-drawing game that requires not just a gaming expert but a true gaming professor to clear.
The idea of the game may seem simple, but this game really tests will test how much you know about the best games of the past decades. The game is very cool and has a very pleasant environment too.
