Mini Words - minimalist puzzle

Fun word puzzle game

Mini-Words is a good computer translation of the traditional word scramble puzzle mixed with crossword clues. The game has great quality of life features and is presented in a relaxing way. You can select individual letters across multiple words and multiple times per word, with the main catch being that you need to leave no letter untouched at the end of the round. I'd have a full run of Steam achievements, but I'm not about to try and complete the game without being able to access the friendly hint menu. That seems like a bit too intense of a trip through the dictionary than I want to take at the moment.

Working on your English vocabulary? Well would you look at that. And by that I mean this game, one centered around forming words from the given letters on a grid. You get one belonging to it and their length so that you at least know what you're looking for, although depending on the mode you play on, you may also get a hint (crossword style). Furthermore, as you progress through the game it'll get harder as it also teaches you how words can be placed on said grid while you listen to xylophones tunes in a similar vein to Electroplankton. Unfortunately the game is limited in words and after a while not only do they repeat but the gameplay starts to drag depending on how many levels you decide to go for at once. There's also no music which at least gives you the possibility of having something else in the background yet it would have been nice to have something. All in all, it's fine enough for the casual word guesser and as a learning tool it can be helpful though up to a certain point.

Gosto dos jogos desse desenvolvedor, são simples, divertidos e desafiadores na medida certa. Mas, infelizmente, não posso recomendar o [b]Mini Words[/b] pois uma falha fez com que meu progresso retrocedesse muito! Eu estava no nível 86 e, de repente fui para o 20. Voltei ao menu e os níveis subsequentes estavam bloqueados. Não sei se é uma falha específica na versão do macOS. Porém isso, aliado ao fato dele ser extremamente longo (mais de 500 níveis!), tira completamente a motivação de recomeçar.

Betűket kell a helyes sorrendben összekötögetni, hogy aztán egy értelmes, angol szót kapj.... legalább is azt,. amelyiket a játék kéri. Sajnos nem jó akármelyik szó... hiába jön ki. Eleinte könnyű a játék, de később nehezebb lesz, főleg ha nem ismered a szót angolul. Ettől függetlenül a játék segít, megadja hogy pontosan mit keress, főnév, melléknév, ige... bár nem akkora segítség, mint elsőre gondolnánk, holott sokszor igazán jól jön. És van egy kérdőjel kis hover (ráviszed az egeret és megjelenik a szöveg) is, ami azt is leírja, mi az a dolog, amit össze kell állítanod a betűkből. És viszonylag arra is jó, hogy angolul tanulj, de hatalmas előny, ha az alapokat már tudod.

The puzzles have a smooth progression, starting simple to help you understand the mechanics and rules. It's also great for practicing English, as it focuses on relevant words instead of obscure ones like many other word games. The 'No Tips Mode' seems like a great challenge, though I haven't tried it yet. The latest update added a lot of content for those who had already completed the game, with extra levels that focus on more complex challenges. Definitely recommended!

Llevo muchísimas horas en este juego, y llegado a un punto te das cuenta que se repiten las palabras y no pocas veces. Y es por esto que a veces pienso que los niveles se crearon de forma aleatoria, por lo que completar los niveles de cada letra hasta terminar la Z, parece más un trabajo exhaustivo.
