About
Mini Mini Golf Golf is a sci-fi narrative experience like no other. As you discover tunnels through spacetime and unravel memories of inevitable climate collapse, identity and responsibility collide at the fault line of our planet’s future.
The metaphor of a childhood memory – a perfectly normal round of Minigolf – rips open the fabric of spacetime and connects you with a mysterious and bizarre entity from the future, injecting thoughts and ideas into your trails as you navigate a virtual underworld of memories and resonances.
Grind away at tectonic plates and build up tension points, both geological and psychological, as you converse with the mind that perpetually upholds our future climate. Lift their burden for a while and uncover how they will have become the being that they are then. In their future, climate collapse is met with enormous geoengineering projects that create a new equilibrium by re-shaping plate tectonics.
The psychohistory of the entity you encounter is fragmented, tainted and biased. It is incomplete, more than human, and tired. It finds comfort in your company and in the common memory of simple and safe games of Minigolf. Weave your way through memories of their life, uncovering thoughts and traces about their coming of age on a planetary scale.

A really intensely artsy experience that has some pretty interesting story going on. If you're into vibes then I think this is a must-play; the postmodern aesthetic is REALLY beautiful and I completely love how the game brings in some almost academic game-studies-y conversations into itself. What a cool experience! Can't wait for the next game! This game kinda makes me feel like a rabid fanboy!
This is a great game, with lots to say about technology, videogames, gameplay and our future. And there's also some golf. You can play through it in one or two sittings, but it is densely packed with information and innovative sequences. The visuals are beautiful, the voice acting is fantastic, and there's tons of exciting and surprising moments. It feels like walking through a mixed-media museum exhibition (positive).
Unique, thought-provoking, and beautifully designed.
This is certainly experimental storytelling as it is advertised, but it is unfortunately not a successful one in my opinion. There are some interesting stylistic choices, but the ideas and execution of the story just fell flat to me. Add to that some very basic gameplay system (which has fail states that cause you to repeat the same dialogue over) and I just didn't enjoy my time with this at all. I played through to the end only because it was very short.
a beautiful set of puzzles solved with lucid dreaming physics and logic.
what is more human than escaping into a game when the present reality is too much to bear? what is more human than spending time while playing thinking about how avoiding reality could maybe be the solution to those unbearable realities? it provides a cathartic release of acknowledging the cognitive dissonance of the player, while never giving you a real escape. i still wish for it, crave it, even now. it's minigolf
I did not like the story or the gameplay. I did like the presentation and exploration! I got maybe halfway through before losing interest. It feels like an experiment more than a Game game, which is OK, but it fell short for me. I was expecting the game to be chaotic and varied, but it fell into a routine after the intro. I liked: The TV show is very charming! Though my short attention span was happy for the buttons to skip five seconds ahead. The initial exploration of the systems you're working with is fun! I liked the future technology on display! The setting is intriguing! The accessibility options are good! It's, well, Neat, at least at first! My main annoyance: The sections where you putt to make text appear. If I putt slow it'll take a long time to spell it out, but if I putt too fast I'll fall off a cliff (and I can't tell where the walls are) and need to restart the text line. It is not a good way to convey text. (There are other sections that function similarly.) I lost interest because: The text in the "glitch" sections felt vague and empty and wasn't saying anything at all. Which is a problem, since that's where the story spends most of its time. I was intrigued at the start of the game, but after establishing the characters/plots/routines, I wasn't compelled to keep going, because it didn't seem like it was going to hold any surprises or feel emotionally impactful. Other nitpicks: The game regularly pulled me out of what I was doing for Zoe to talk to me. Whenever it did this, the left monitor would turn on after I'd intentionally turned it off, adding distracting voices when I was trying to read. The golf requirements seem VERY hard and I made heavy use of the difficulty accessibility, but I'm not a minigolf fan, so maybe I'm silly for playing in the first place.
At it's core a very artsy experience telling a pretty deep story mixing mini golf with a bit of light puzzling. Not for people who are here for a game, but it's here for people who want an experience. Very good pickup, and even the "hardest" difficulty isn't that much of a challenge, but that's the beauty of it: You can enjoy the whole experience with some really cool puzzle elements that make the game more varied, or just enjoy the story by itself.
Mini Mini Golf Golf Two Two ^w^ ^w^
There is a lot of interesting ideas and concepts across the game! It took me some time to get into the narration, but once i was involved I was in it for good. I loved the worldbuilding and the general story depicted. The characters were a little bit flat at first, but they got to my feeling toward the end :) I was a little bit frustrated by the gameplay, especially the ball falling and forcing you to read the story segment again but eh, that's part of playing something so experimental imo. Overall a really interesting game if you want to go out of your confort zone and get a interesting political and personal story, told in a strange and slightly broken way.
