nice game
Itty bitty game with depth. Quite fun.
Surprisingly fun. I got it for the reviews since the screenshots weren't as nice as the TDs that I usually paly. But this game is A LOT of fun! Give it at least 2 games (make sure to research between games). It takes a minute for it to show its depth.
Its a complicated recommendation. But i very much enjoy playing this. Pros; -very well balanced towers -roguelite elements via research add alot of longevity and complexity in builds, in some ways superior to my other favourite TD, Nordhold (100% recommend that game) -smooth as butter performance -difficulty scaling and resource demands scale extremely well -exploring the research trees is alot of fun and i don't feel punished for lateral upgrading alot Cons; -dull aesthetic, only 2 maps, 1 of which is locked out until you've spent at least ~5+ hours playing. -artstyle is mid -relatively few, and restrictive options in the graphics tab (as in, i can have vsync enabled, or i can pick my fps, i can't do both, and fps options don't match up with my monitor, 120-240fps is a rather confusing jump) -music sucks (not a really big problem however, i just put on a music stream playlist instead, i do this for loads of games these days) -no VA work at all, and mediocre sound effects outside of that, generally the audio is poor all around, i'd like the turrets to have a more punchy sound, but to be fair it'd be hard to balance the audio when you have 50+ different turrets blazing away simultaneously -i have to restart the game like 5-10x at the very start of each session, to get the lucky roll where loads of mineral resources spawn around my base, which is tedious, albeit the restarts are very quick and don't strain my pc at all, but frankly it should just be adjusted for lots of mineral spawns every time, its a 5x differential between normal spawns and high-resource spawns, pointless. -no custom in-game mouse option, during heavy play it can be extremely hard to see your own little white cursor, its one of the very few games to NOT have a custom in-game cursor as default, a strange and baffling omission from game design. Overall, very compelling game, but the dev needs to hire an art director/vfx artist to spice the game up, sacrifice a little performance for alot better aesthetics, it'll definitely improve sales. Otherwise the games loads of fun and very addictive.
please add more maps this game is amaizing
solid game - nonesense for achievement hunters
:-(
Got it as a gift and man I am happy I got it. You know these stupid "wise" sentences like "the path is the goal"? Yeah, you'll lose a lot. But during play you gather research points and so the next play you will have - probably - research some stuff which makes you better. But even if you didn't have the research. You will play again and again, because each time the levels are different, there is no walkthrough (I think) or learning the map and finding out where to put what. The game is just fun to play and even losing my ship (=base) is not really bad because I'll just research something and then start a new map. It is fun and ... probably .. no... not relaxed, but somehow it relaxes me nevertheless. And I love me my missile turrets. It is fun to play. What else do you want from a game? It loads fast, looks nice, plays fast, you have fun, then you die. But the better you are, the later you die. I like it.
