Miner Wars 2081

Missing way too many quality of life improvements that even the original Descent had. Don't bother and go play the original Descent instead.

If you like flying in space, and space combat, maybe give it a try. The controls didn't feel clunky, and the ship was responsive. You do need a head for three dimensional battle and not get lost when flying in winding cave-like areas, or when mining and get turned around. The graphics are not the best, and while the map is completely open to go wherever you want... going anywhere other than where you are told to go triggers that part of the story line. I tried to explore and got sucked into a space battle from late game that I was NOT supposed to be in. I got blown away pretty quickly. The story line is kind of forgettable but I'm not sure I gave this game enough time to really get invested... which is not a great thing to say at 22 hours in. If you can get it at a steep discount, its worth trying. 5/10

For 5 bucks its great. you can go pretty much anywhere out of order from the campaign, the campaign is good, the story is good, the voice acting is good. the game play is good, the mining is rewarding if you mine the right stuff and not required to make money if you don't want to that way. Fully destructable environment is pretty cool. I haven't had problems on my system but i can imagine it being hard on some older systems. only downside i think to this game is seemingly you can no longer host a game and play co-op, so thats a bummer,

Хорошая игра, но. Заканчивается кислород и всё. Можно найти патроны и всякости. кислород не восполняется. Даже если в корабль залетишь. просто играешь до конца кислорода. И новую игру. Странное решение.

It is a little bit like Descent 3 but more heavier. It needed some time to find out how to play, but with the difficulty "easy" you can look first and have some experience, how to play. If you have tested it, it is wonderful to play with a joystick par example. I felt the old Descent back with better grafics and other difficulties. For me, this game is nice working.
