This game is a gem. I can't believe it doesn't have more reviews. It is an excellent couch co-op game for the family. Reminds me of Fuzion Frenzy for Xbox, only Knight Squad has less variety but better, deeper game play in each game type. With Knight Squad keeping everyone on one screen, you really can play 8 people on the tiny Steam Deck screen all the way up to your TV. I bought the game simply to see if the steam deck could handle 8 players. It can. Easily. I did have to change a setting on the steam deck itself or in the game to get more than 4 controllers recognized. Don't remember what it was. But I have had 7 people playing at it is a blast. There are really two games here. The first is the one Knight Squad with default settings. It is okay, sometimes a little slow. I played for 30 minutes, thought that was nice, then put it down for a couple months. The second game is when you turn on max tier pickups on the shortest timer possible. My son and I randomly tried Knight Squad again, found the modifiers, set them for the extreme, and had an absolute blast! An hour later my entire family is sitting on the couch playing along. The matches become much faster paced, even frantic. No one can dominate for long because everyone is one pickup away from taking out the leader. You owe it to yourself to play max modifiers . It is a whole new game. You can unlock new knights and a new sword for each knight. It is cosmetic only, but still nice to have some reward for playing. Thank you Chainsawesome Games for this fun family friendly masterpiece. We need more games like this for the SteamDeck.

I like to run video games party nights with friends in their 30s 40s. Some people are good at video games. Others are holding a controller for the first time. This game is perfect for the mix. Very easy to pick up with simple controls but it gets very competitive and fun. One of our favourite local multiplayer party games.

Bought this thinking it would make a good party or LAN game. What a dud. Game is just a simplified FPS. 3 minutes for a round is already overstaying it's welcome.

Bon petit party game avec pas mal d'options et un peu d'humour. Contrairement à d'autres jeux du genre les règles sont faciles à comprendre et le tout se prend facilement en main ce qui fait qu'on a envie de le relancer même après quelques parties. Bref, si vous avez du monde chez vous de temps en temps, c'est un chouette petit divertissement, même si ça vaut pas les partie sendiablées d'un Towerfall par exemple.

Hi, I am using 7 xbox one controller. They are working as I can see them in window and play other games with them with 7 players. However the game only recognizes 4 controllers. I am on windows 11, xbox extended controller installed in Steam and I tried various options such as Xinput and Steam input. Can someone help me?
