Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Latest in each market: best BR #46, worst PL #83 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 15.43/day in the week to Aug 27 → 23.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Recommended — 9/10 Middle-earth: Shadow of War is easily one of the most satisfying action games I've played. The combat is fast, brutal, fluid, and endlessly fun once it clicks. Chaining together counters, executions, and stealth takedowns across a battlefield of dozens of orcs makes you feel genuinely powerful, yet fights stay chaotic enough to keep you on edge. Few games balance that as well. The Nemesis System is still the highlight, and honestly still unmatched years later. Random encounters, rivalries, betrayals, and ambushes make Mordor feel alive in a way almost no other open-world game manages. An orc you humiliated will come back scarred, remember exactly how your last fight went, and taunt you about it. A bodyguard you trusted will betray you mid-siege. Every captain and warchief can spiral into a personal story of their own, which gives the game enormous personality beyond the main campaign. Visually it holds up well too. The shift from the ashen wastes of Mordor to the greener, ruined beauty of Nurnen and Cirith Ungol keeps the regions distinct, and the orc designs in particular are full of grotesque, memorable character. It nails that dark-fantasy atmosphere while still delivering huge battlefields, fortress sieges, and genuinely cinematic moments. A couple of caveats. The story isn't quite as tight as Shadow of Mordor - Talion and Celebrimbor's arc meanders in the middle, and the game leans so hard on the Nemesis System that the scripted narrative sometimes feels like an afterthought. It was still good enough to keep me invested to the end, but don't come for the plot. The other issue is sheer overload: between gear, upgrades, RPG systems, armies, side activities, and fortress mechanics, there's occasionally just too much being thrown at you at once. One important note for anyone reading old reviews: the loot boxes and microtransactions this game was infamous for at launch were completely removed back in 2017, and the grindy original ending was reworked. Playing it today, none of that is a factor so ignore the reviews complaining about pay-to-win nonsense. The endgame is a clean, free experience now. The DLCs are worth playing too and add real value to an already packed game. Overall: even with a few rough edges, the combat and the Nemesis System are so strong that I'd recommend it without hesitation. If you enjoy action-heavy open-world games with brutal combat and endless personal rivalries, this is absolutely worth your time.

I don't like it. Gameplay wise it's a downgrade compared to SoM. The excellent part is the nemesis system. It's about how enemy mini bosses learn your moves and start countering your actions. Forcing you to adapt mid fight. A best part of this game. Visuals are really nice as well. The bad parts: - Progression. In SoM you collect experience points and start buying/unlocking skills based on price. Here it's more limited and forces you to do certain things to unlock them. Instead of having a freedom of "pay for what you want" here, it's you are forced to do specific approach/actions in order to unlock it. It does not sound that bad, but after SoM, it feels like a forced limitation, a downgrade. - Going into SoW after finishing SoM was bad experience. Because my character in SoM knew every move but going into SoW you need to start over, back to having access to most basic moves and having to learn everything you knew in SoM. It's like learning to walk after sprinting in SoM. - SoM was more open map, less urban so to speak, your character will get stuck, not being able to move, due to some small world objects. Here in SoW due to map being far more "urban" your character is getting stuck all the time. Stuck as in stopped moving due to some ankle high object. Allowing enemies to easily land a killng blow. Freaking annoying. Same thing was in SoM, but due to more open space it was not so problematic. - The locking system is really dang bad. Your character will almost randomly attack enemy. Since these series have a "mob" type of attack. You character will, what appears randomly lock onto targets when attacking. Even on targets outside of your view screen while you have orc right in front of your character. You just can't properly control your character when fighing multiple enemies at once. It also goes with parkour moving, onto which object your character will latch to is a lottery chance. Oh you wanted to roll to the sides? Nope your character will lock onto orc and try to jump over it. Bosses will learn of your jump over move, so they will parry it. And yet instead of rolling to the sides, your character will just keep trying to jump over them. Really dang annoying. Or, oh you want to roll to the sides? Well how about your character instead latch onto wall and just hang there while orcs wack you. - Plus for some reason, enemy bosses are always far higher level than you. So you are stuck with "bullet sponge" boss enemies. Which swarm you. - Were you annoyed by boss introduction speeches of SoM, well they doubled down on it here. Prepare to randomly have you controls taken away from you. Because a mini boss is now in range and you need to watch his mini monologue. Oh there are 3-4 mini bosses? Well now, you have to got through 3-4 monologues in a row. Can't skip it them. - My biggest issue with the games how freaking bad is lock on mechanincs. I am more time killed due to my character always, randomly attacking enemies in mob fight or instead of roll, latch onto some wall and just hang there. The control of your character is more random than player controlled. if you have allies in a fight, prepare for your character lock onto your allies instead of enemies. Great freaking design ! It's not a bad game, it's just after SoM it feels more as a gameplay downgrade.
