About
From Edmund McMillen (The Binding of Isaac, Super Meat Boy) and Tyler Glaiel (Closure, The End Is Nigh) comes a deeply tactical legacy roguelite that asks:

What if you could breed the perfect army of whiskered warriors, then send them on tactical adventures in search of food, money and loads of treasure?
The Cat Loop:
Welcome to Boon County, where each day you’ll assemble a team from your ever-growing house and outfit your cats with class-specific collars (Fighter, Tank, Mage, and many more). Send your mutant feline squad clawing through adventures of turn-based battles that demand careful positioning, wild power combos, and environmental shenanigans.
Combat That Rewards Mastery:
With 1000+ unique abilities (75 per class), 900+ items, and countless environmental interactions, every run throws fresh tactical puzzles at you. There’s real depth here, and endless room for experimenters and optimizers alike.
Breeding Creates Your Future:
Cats that return home carry scars, experience (and sometimes extra heads!) Pass down strange skills and mutations, tinker with your bloodline, tackle genetic quirks, and build ever stranger, more powerful cats for the next adventure.

Epic Scope:
200+ hour main campaign
10+ character classes with 75 unique abilities each
900+ wild items
200+ enemies and bosses
Roguelite progression: never experience the same game twice.
Choices at every turn. Money! Items!! And genes!! All matters.
From Simple to Infinitely Complex:
Mewgenics welcomes you in and then reveals more and more layers over time. Early runs teach the basics, but soon you'll be optimizing breeding chains, discovering unexpected ability combos, and making agonizing strategic choices about whether to keep a cute kitten or give it to one of the many NPCs to upgrade your house. Mewgenics offers you a path to tactical mastery while embracing chaotic emergent gameplay.
Build, experiment, adapt! There’s always a new way to experiment with (and break) the game.

Also: you can pet the cats.

Every individual element of this game is done very well. The soundtrack, the artstyle, the battles and the other gameplay mechanics are all good. It's tough to say why, but I find it just doesn't click for me and I don't find it fun.
“Kedili oyun ne kadar garip olabilir ki?” diye başladım. Çıktığımda genetik uzmanı, stratejist ve hafiften ruh hastası olmuştum. Şimdi en iyi genetiğe sahip savaş makinesini üretmeye çalışıyor, savaşlara giriyor ve aile ağacını sanki Excel tablosu yönetir gibi takip ediyorum. Edmund McMillen yine normal bir oyun yapmayı reddetmiş. Tam bir kaos. Ben de tam bunu seviyorum.
Game has a really good way of making me mad by screwing up my run with absolutely no way to avoid it. In good roguelikes, every death feels earned, but here you can just roll a bad number and lose your run. Recommended for masochists, not recommended for normal people.

Great, but too little cat for my taste. Personally I'd add more cat
Edmund McMillen and Tyler Glaiel i could kiss you on the lips right now. This game is so good its actually insane, When this realized i though "eh" and didn't look into it any further, But now that i have it its the only game i play anymore, The humor is great, The designs for all the enemies are amazing, The music is fantastic, The majority of the bosses have their own theme songs! I cant recommend this game enough, Mewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwgenics

I purchased this game on the first day it was released and have played less than 12 hours so far. At beginning of June the developers stated that additional language support would be released by the end of June. It is now almost the middle of July, and there has still been no update or communication regarding the promised languages. As it stands, the game is effectively unplayable for me due to the lack of language support. I'm very disappointed that the promised timeline was not met. I cannot recommend this game in its current state. My rating is 0/10 for language support until the promised language update is released. I hope the developers honor their commitment and improve communication with the community. Until then, this is a definite thumbs down from me.
