Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 55/day in the week to Aug 28 → 71.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The extreme tension of infiltrating without being detected.
Metal Gear series, the pinnacle of “stealth action” where you avoid combat and complete missions while hiding.
The game take place 10 years after METAL GEAR SOLID 3: Snake Eater.

【STORY】
THE ILLUSION OF PEACE FALTERS
In 1964, after saving the world from all-out nuclear war, Naked Snake, a true hero, receives the name Big Boss, but he disappears shortly after the naming ceremony.
Ten years later, Big Boss is running an independent military unit in Columbia, when he is visited by two individuals from Costa Rica, a country without a military.
In a post-Cuban Missile Crisis world, and in a Central America essential to maintaining the power balance between East and West, Costa Rica has been miraculously able to maintain peace.
However, a mysterious armed group has been seen acting suspiciously throughout the region.
They request Big Boss to investigate and eliminate the armed group.
Though he hesitates to accept the request because the tape they brought contained the voice of The Boss, who was supposed to be dead.

Played this on steam deck (with steam os), so i will talk from this perspective, and mostly about the port, which it seems based on the PS3 version with minor improvements. - every aspect of the game is tailored for portable consoles. Its almost perfect if you owning a steam deck - It has PS2 level of graphics, with the usual pc settings like resolution and anti-alising.The gameplay runs smootly on 60 fps. The story is presented via sharp high definition animated graphic novel panels - the co-op is fun, but sometimes i experiencing "UNSTABLE CONNECTION" messages. Maybe the devs will fix it in a future patch . - its kind of annoying, but the host could end the co-op mission in mid-fight, wasting the invested effort of the other participants. - when you start a new game you have to input your choosen player name. In the PSP/PS3 version the console brings up the virtual keyboard, but on steam deck its missing. You have to tweak the input setting or install it on laptop or PC first then with cloud save you can bring back to deck

MI infancia wey :v
Initially one of the Metal Gear titles that I hadn't already played before buying on steam (apart from the times where a mate allowed me to play a pirated copy on his steam deck) i have my gripes about it. Stealth is a little... easy, I managed to beat practically every mission without triggering a combat alert, and which granted is an artifiact of its origin, but nonthless compared to MGS4 and MGS3 it pales harshly. The boss fights are bad. but not for lack of interesting moments and such, just the fact that THEY HAVE SO MUCH HEALTH! i had the luck of hard focusing on R&D specifically to unlock the stronger side of my weaponry and even then they felt like a slog. Additionally, the vehical fights are certainly boss fights that are definitely fun to play. (Spoilers for the plot up from here downwards) After beating chapter 4 and destoying PEACEWALKER, I felt like the game was trying to wrap itself up in a pretty satisifying way. Big Boss has given up on his dream of understanding The Boss, and is now focusing on building up MSF into a true 'Outer Heaven' (which in all honesty, would have been a much better way to slide into the events of MG1 than the smoke and mirrors MGSV pulled) Imagine my shock when the game greets me with the title card for chapter 5. At first i thought it was simply the ending sequence of the game, so i began doing my exeeding list of Extra Ops, then lo and behold, the Zadornov missions began. I find it a bit weird that they did something like this. i get wanting to boost player replayability by locking story prgression behind certain thresholds, but similary to MGSV's chapter 2, it felt underbaked. I have not quite completed all of the Zadornov search missions (and sebsequently not beaten the Paz-Controlled Metal Gear Zeke) and if that discredits my review so be it. Alright, lets talk positives God the soundtrack is phenomnal, Heavens Divide, *PEACEWALKERS* Theme, all are straight bangers, i find myself murmuring "When Heavens DIVIDE!" over and over again while in the shower or just doing literally everything. I do really like the story, throughout the whole game Snake is trying to wrestle with the loss of The Boss, even after 10 years, he still hears that ringing gunshot. The overarcing plot of CiA director HOT COLDMAN (Brilliant as always Kojima) trying to use PEACEWALKER as 'the perfect deterrent' is an interesting flip on what Metal Gears are usually built for (Looking at you, REX) and i quite enjoy it. Huey isnt that much of a ♥♥♥♥♥ yet (or he hides it better) so that also helps. I like Kaz. He's so much more chill than in MGSV, (or as some of my friends call it, 'Pre-Fiddled Kaz") and has interesting dialogue inside the cassete tapes outside of "Boss. Skullface. Diamond Dogs. Skullface. Phantom Pain." (Bit of a generalisation, but you get the point) Overall, i give MGS: PW a solid 6/10. Definitely not my favourite Metal Gear game, but i do quite enjoy the theme it gave. Im also just a sucker for giant robots, and this game as like, 5 compared to every other MGS game.
boss?..... call me snake

True masterpiece
He vuelto a mi infancia, es perfecto como tenia que ser, un port perfecto. Lo unico que me choca ahora es, ¿ porque cojones Snake apunta con el ojo del parche ???
Absolute cinema! \_o_/
Played through the entire game with washed-out, blurry cutscenes only to realize Konami set the resolution to "original" by default in the settings. Thanks for hiding the actual HD textures behind a toggle.
