Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 102.43/day in the week to Aug 28 → 237.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A good port of a PS3 Classic. I swear there's more cutscenes than actual gameplay but this game is peak Kojima. Wacky and fun. The port is not perfect however, audio is noticeably worse than the PS3 version. Mouse and keyboard controls work well but there is mouse acceleration, sadly. Also, game is capped to 60fps. Most of the issues I laid out can by fixed by downloading MGS4fix on github (aside from audio and FPS).
War has changed. It's no longer about nations, ideologies, or ethnicity. It's an endless series of proxy battles, fought by mercenaries and machines. War--and it's consumption of life--has become a well-oiled machine. War has changed. ID-tagged soldiers carry ID-tagged weapons, use ID-tagged gear. Nanomachines inside their bodies enhance and regulate their abilities. Genetic control, information control, emotion control, battlefield control…everything is monitored and kept under control. War…has changed. The age of deterrence has become the age of control, all in the name of averting catastrophe from weapons of mass destruction, and he who controls the battlefield, controls history. War…has changed. When the battlefield is under total control, war becomes routine.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

MGS4 on PC. Finally. Still insane. Still peak Kojima. Still one of the best MGS games.
not finishing the game already beat it on emulator. IDGAF
tried playing it for about an hour. couldnt get any audio at all. cool. still played the game. settings were 1080P. i could see every pixel like it was 8 bit. i know its a ps3 game. but whatever they did to try and make this work. it didnt work.
Life isn't about passing yout genes. It's about how many messages you send in WhatsApp and how fun you will have while using it.
"You are as beautiful as the day I lost you."
Let's get this out of the way: MGS4 on PS3 was already a masterpiece wrapped in a fifteen minute unskippable cutscene wrapped in another cutscene. It was the game that made "just one more codec call" a lifestyle choice. So when I heard Konami was bringing Old Snake back for the Master Collection, my first thought was "please, for the love of Big Boss, let me skip the Wii-era menu screens this time." Good news. They mostly did. The visual bump is the real headline here. Snake's wrinkles now have wrinkles, and Shadow Moses looks less like a PS3 launch title and more like something that could give you a legitimate emotional reaction. Load times, once long enough to microwave a burrito, have been trimmed down to something resembling patience-friendly. And the frame rate no longer chugs like Snake himself during a Microwave Room crawl. What hasn't changed, thankfully, is the absolute unhinged genius of the game itself. This is still a title where you fight a psychic vampire twins, ride a robot horse through a warzone, and then sit through forty five minutes of Colonel exposition explaining why none of it mattered because it was all a conspiracy about memes before memes existed (seriously, the Patriots basically invented information warfare). It's ridiculous. It's beautiful. It's peak Kojima, unfiltered and unapologetic. Is it a full remake? No. Don't go in expecting Metal Gear Solid Remake energy. This is a lovingly remastered classic, not a reinvention. But if you want to relive one of gaming's most bizarre, brilliant, and emotionally exhausting swan songs without dusting off a fifteen year old PS3 and praying the disc still reads, this is the definitive way to do it. Highly recommend. Ten out of ten. Would crawl through a microwave hallway again.
Back during the PS3 era, this was my favorite game, hands-down. I lost count of how many time I played through this game using New Game+, and I was almost certain I would never see the likes of it again, either as a port or a new entry that could recapture that feeling from the time. I'm amazed at how well this port runs. Not a frame of stutter that I've been able to notice, no bugs, no errors, and visually it looks almost exactly like how I remember it looking way back when. I'm not a fan of Konami after many of the decisions they've made the past several years, but I couldn't resist picking this up. It feels hypocritical to admit, but I don't regret my purchase. This time, at least.
