Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 395.5/day in the week to Jul 15 → 5.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is often considered by many fans to be the best entry in the entire series, and it's easy to understand why. Instead of continuing the more modern, technological setting of MGS1 and MGS2, Kojima Productions moved the story back to the Cold War era, creating a completely different atmosphere focused on survival, espionage, and the relationship between humans and nature. The game changes the formula by introducing (lite) survival mechanics. Snake has to manage camouflage, injuries, stamina, food, and the environment itself. At first it might seem like extra complexity, but these systems fit perfectly into the jungle setting and make the player feel like an actual operative trying to survive behind enemy lines. The story is another highlight. Without spoiling anything, MGS3 tells a much more personal story compared to previous games. The relationship between Snake and The Boss remains one of the most memorable narratives in gaming, while the game continues the series tradition of mixing military fiction with philosophical ideas and surprisingly emotional moments. The boss fights are also among the strongest in the franchise. Each member of the Cobra Unit has a unique personality and gameplay gimmick, creating encounters that are still remembered years later. The game manages to balance absurdity, action, and serious storytelling in a way that only Metal Gear Solid can. Unlike MGS1 and MGS2, the Master Collection version of MGS3 received an official HD package, making it look much better out of the box. The port is generally well made, but just like MGS2, the community managed to improve it even further. The three recommended mods are: MGSHDFix, which adds additional fixes, better display options, widescreen support, and various quality-of-life improvements. MGS3MC Better Audio Mod, which improves the audio quality and fixes some issues with the original release. MGS3 Community Bugfix Compilation, which fixes remaining problems and also offers optional improvements, including higher-quality texture options. With these additions, MGS3 becomes much closer to the definitive version fans have wanted for years. Pros: + One of the best stories in the Metal Gear Solid series + Memorable boss fights + Incredible atmosphere and level design Cons: - The Master Collection version still benefits heavily from community fixes - Camera controls can feel dated compared to modern third-person games
