Metal as Phuk clearly rises to the top of the $5 Indie Game list. It's short, but priced to match its length. It looks and sounds great. The humor is about what you'd expect given the title, so that should be a serious consideration when you decide whether you want to play the game. It is somewhat difficult, which is only reasonable given its length; you are expected to use the tools at your disposal. My only complaint is that I didn't find an inn during the first half of the game, so leveling up was the only significant source of MP restoration (and thus, also the primary source of healing). This felt pretty bad, and it seems like a little bit of bad luck early on could force you to restart the game.
I loved this game.
Best game ever. The contrast between classical jpn rpg and absolute inapropriate humor is so good
The name says it all...METAL AS PHUK!!!
For the final fight you HAVE to loose, even if it have no hp left. The game is ok but really classical. Humour is ok but not great. The combat are not good: no really balanced character and when a monster can inflict you a bad effect, it ll spam it endlessly. The first dungeon is really hard/unbalanced with it's poisonous monster (and impossibility to rest). The game become easier and easier, the fightable final boss is a breeze and you have to die at the second. The music is great and there is no baddly hidden stuff. What's hidden is well done (it's fair). Conclusion: not a bad game but too many balancing issues and an awful final boss.
Loved it! Remapping the movement keys to WASD made it much more enjoyable as well.
yep, Metal as Phuk.
Has some funny, crass humor that i found refreshing in a JRPG. for a couple dollars, if you want something different, enjoy metal and some dumb humor and don't expect a masterpiece JRPG, you'll probably like this game.
Very neat little game, nice attention to detail and quite funny. Could be longer, but just so the goodness could last a little longer. Recommend.
What can I say? this Game is Metal as Phuk! I loved it! Great job devs!
