小さな楽しいゲーム。 非常にお勧めします。
I usually don't go for RPG Maker games, but as a metal fan, I decided to give this one a shot. It was very well done, with good humor, gameplay (not too hard, not too easy), and a fun story. There were lots of Easter eggs for metal fans and the music was very good. Overall, I'd recommend it for anyone who likes RPGs and/or metal, and if you like both, then you're all set. My only complaints are I couldn't get my Xbox controller to work, and this game *begged* to have a controller, and although I liked the music, it was *loud*. Unless I'm missing something, your only option is turn down your PC sound as I couldn't find a way to lower it.
Metal as Phuk is an indie role-playing game that proudly embraces outrageous humor, heavy metal culture, and retro RPG design with absolutely no intention of appealing to mainstream tastes. Developed and published by Crankage Games, it delivers an adventure that mixes classic turn-based combat with an abundance of crude jokes, absurd situations, and over-the-top characters. Rather than presenting a serious fantasy epic, the game thrives on parody and self-awareness, creating a world where every quest, conversation, and battle is infused with exaggerated personality. Players step into the role of Chael, the final surviving Paladin of the Metal Order, whose mission is to stop the sinister Dark Bards from unleashing the fearsome demon A'Marthius. While the central storyline follows a familiar save-the-world formula, it constantly twists expectations through ridiculous scenarios, making the narrative feel unpredictable and consistently entertaining. The game's greatest strength lies in its commitment to its unique identity. Every location is packed with eccentric NPCs, bizarre monsters, hidden references, and humorous dialogue that rewards players who enjoy exploring every corner of the world. Heavy metal fans will immediately notice countless nods to the genre through character names, equipment, music, and jokes inspired by famous bands and albums. However, the writing extends beyond simple references by incorporating satire, fantasy clichés, and intentionally exaggerated storytelling that gives the adventure its own distinct personality. The dialogue rarely slows down, constantly delivering jokes and surprising interactions that prevent the experience from becoming repetitive. Although the humor is intentionally juvenile and outrageous, it remains surprisingly creative, ensuring that even routine quests are filled with memorable moments. Gameplay follows the foundations of traditional turn-based RPGs, making it approachable for players familiar with classic role-playing adventures. Battles revolve around assembling a party of four unique classes, leveling up characters, learning stronger abilities, collecting better equipment, and overcoming increasingly dangerous enemies. Combat mechanics are straightforward without becoming dull, allowing progression to feel rewarding throughout the campaign. Exploration is equally important, as hidden treasures, optional encounters, secret references, and collectible items encourage players to stray from the main path. Boss encounters stand out in particular, combining humorous presentation with more demanding combat that requires players to make effective use of their growing arsenal of skills and equipment. While the mechanics do not reinvent the genre, they remain polished enough to support the game's stronger emphasis on entertainment and comedy. Visually, Metal as Phuk embraces a nostalgic pixel-art presentation reminiscent of classic RPG Maker titles while maintaining its own colorful identity. Character sprites, environments, and enemy designs all reinforce the game's exaggerated tone, allowing its comedic style to shine throughout the adventure. The soundtrack is another highlight, featuring energetic compositions inspired by heavy metal that complement both exploration and combat. The music consistently reinforces the atmosphere and helps distinguish the game from many other indie RPGs that rely on more traditional fantasy soundtracks. Combined with expressive animations and humorous visual details scattered across the world, the presentation demonstrates genuine enthusiasm and passion from its creators despite the modest scale of the project. The game is not without its drawbacks, and many of them stem directly from its creative choices. Its humor is intentionally offensive, featuring constant profanity, sexual jokes, crude language, alcohol references, drug-related humor, and other mature content that many players may find excessive. Rather than using occasional shock value, the game builds its entire identity around pushing boundaries, meaning those who dislike vulgar comedy are unlikely to enjoy the experience regardless of its solid gameplay. Some jokes inevitably land better than others, and the relentless pace of comedic dialogue may occasionally overshadow character development or emotional storytelling. Players seeking a more serious fantasy RPG with complex themes and dramatic narrative moments may find the experience lacking in depth. Despite these limitations, Metal as Phuk succeeds because it never compromises its vision. It confidently delivers exactly what it promises: an unapologetically ridiculous adventure filled with heavy metal inspiration, entertaining turn-based combat, memorable boss battles, rewarding exploration, and an endless stream of outrageous comedy. Its willingness to fully commit to such a specific style helps it stand apart from countless indie RPGs that play things more safely. While its crude humor will naturally divide audiences, those who appreciate irreverent comedy and classic role-playing mechanics will likely discover an experience bursting with personality, creativity, and enthusiasm. It may not become a universal favorite, but within its niche, it successfully offers a distinctive and highly memorable adventure. Rating: 8/10
Surprisingly well written, satisfying combat & actually funny. I really enjoyed it.

Extremely funny, kinda gives off an older style of humour you'd see in video games and old-school YT. The assets are stock and the game plays like every other RPG Maker game but the fun comes from the dialogue. For the prize of an expensive coffee at Timmies I'd say this it's a good deal. Also, like watching an old comedy movie from the 90s/early 2000s, (think Dude Where's my Car? or Harold & Kumar go to White Castle) I recommend playing while high.
This game is hilarious and the story is really good. Even though I bought this game while it was on sale, I'd pay full price for this game if I could.
It's a fun, short little JRPG. It doesn't get overly tedious, and it's not grindy. There isn't a whole lot of replay value, but for a handful of bucks? It's a good deal.
