This game was hilarious and fun! As a metal head, I enjoyed all the references. Also as an RPG fan, I enjoyed the gameplay! This game was really fun and I encourage ANY RPG fan to play it, metal head or not. It has a good battle system, an awesome but funny story and I beat it in 8 hours my first playthrough. I hope there can be more games like this. :D Thank you to the people who made this. Much appreciated.
phuk works in mysterious ways
It is ok. I might not finish it though. It doesn't seem to be keeping my attention.
I normally wouldn't review a game I just didn't care for when there wasn't anything really wrong with it, in terms of bugs or other technical issues, and I definitely wouldn't be leaving a positive review but this is a special case. I was warned by the store page that this wasn't exactly high brow sophisticated humour, and that was fine by me. I've loved plenty of dumb things, and the promise of metal music and references got my attention. However I don't think I laughed, chuckled, or even did a nose exhale once in my nearly three and a half hours of playtime. The only things that even came close to amusing me were some of the references, turning my time with Metal as Phuk into a disappointing slog through slightly too difficult JRPG style gameplay. I know that's a me problem though, and I did get this game cheap on sale, so while I ultimately didn't enjoy it and didn't finish it I do respect it and I think it's worth recommending. I hope the dev has had a lot of success with their work over the years, I think it's deserved.
A fun RPG-maker game. Your rewarded for exploring with extra experience and helpful items. The game does a good job of respecting your time and doesn't pad with filler. I was not able to get Fullscreen to work properly, so I had to use the Magnifier system in Windows to zoom in to get a Fullscreen. The game offers a fairly balanced difficulty, perhaps leaning more toward easy. You don't need to grind to progress, and I wouldn't advise taking on any extra battles as your characters will max at level 15 which you will likely hit at/near the game's end. Upon game completion, your rewarded with a steam achievement. Well worth the full price of admission, and if it's on sale, even better!
Entretenido RPG, que respeta tu tiempo (unas 4 horas pasarlo completamente), con algunos chistes graciosos, buenos gráficos para RPG Maker, y buenas batallas.
Yeah, this game Phuks. P.S: When you beat the game, don't close it until the credits are done and you're back at the title screen, otherwise you won't get the achievement.
This game is fun. Positives: - funny dialogues - good musics - rewarded for exploration - interesting synergy between the playable characters Negatives: - low difficulty; not that big of an issue for me, except for the final boss: you are supposed to lose against him, and it has an enormous health bar; since the game is a bit too easy, I bringed his health to 0. It was a long fight but I managed to do it without too much trouble (only 2 deaths, due to unlucky triple attacks). But you can't win this fight, so I spent 10 minutes fighting him when he had no health left, then I realized I had to use a specific item against him, which I couldn't use through this fight; so I let my characters die and the game ended as it was supposed to. I wish the boss said something along the lines of "you can't kill me, now die mortals" when you bring him to 0 health and it would kill your whole party and end the fight, to avoid the frustration of having to lose this fight willlingly after fighting him for more than 20 minutes.
Metal as Phuck
This game is absolutely hilarious and filled to the brim with Easter eggs for your favorite games and to metal in general. The dialogue is absolutely perfect and the characters are to die for. This is an absolute 10/10 for as cheap as it is and getting a solid few hours worth of gameplay if you decide to adventure around and collect all the hidden items!
