About
An occult visual novel with point and click mechanics.
You wake up to a fire in the middle of the night. This was probably caused by your Magick, which you have very little control over...
To tame this ability, you decide to take matters into your own hand, and end up at a small witches' coven- a decrepit house in the middle of nowhere. Mesmer, one of these witches, greets you at the door, and thus your Magickal training commences,,,

,,, though, not without a few bumps along the road.
A handcrafted point & click narrative with branching dialogue and impactful choices
Three "sessions" with distinct gameplay styles to train your magickal ability
Many interactable objects to practice your Magick on
A convenient chapter select system, allowing you to hop into any desired story beat

An enchanting original soundtrack
Secrets! Lots of them...

Small game with a unique artstyle and a compelling story, with lots of dialogue variation, neatly divided into chapters and scenarios you can individually visit to get all of those variations. It's got fun puzzles and minigames (except if you try to get the perfect achievement for the bottle minigame), and it'll have you looking for all the special endings and dialogue you can get. It's very short but also very cheap, you can beat it in it's entirety in one evening, I seriously reccomend ya'll play it.
Worshipping Mesmer is why this heart still beats

Amazing!

A work of art in storytelling the deisgn and the soundtrack loved it!
It didn't affect me the way it affected many other reviewers, but I still think it's worth playing. It captures a certain real-world occult experience in a way few other games do and has interesting visuals to boot. The main caveats are that, like many visual novels, there's a "normal" path that's also the most boring one and all the good stuff is behind varying levels of esoteric nonsense. Of the game's two main routes, the one that has an actual satisfying ending is at least not hard to figure out, but there's some other details that can be weird to get as well. The main thing to warn about is that "true ending". It's not a spoiler to say that there are dark reveals about the titular Mesmalie, since she has more red flags than a communist uprising and it starts early (they made the "quit" button diegetic because the player character ALWAYS has a fresh reason to run away). The issue is that, when you find out what's really going on, the game becomes a story about learning to overlook said reveals even though they're pretty awful. There's no other way to say it, it's a writing direction that guys don't take and that guys don't like reading, but it plays a lot better with girls, so if you're a "female" you'll probably like it more.
