About
Lead the forgotten. Fight the impossible.
Men of War: Condemned Heroes is a standalone entry in the acclaimed real-time tactics series, delivering one of the most intense and uncompromising portrayals of World War II. Command a Soviet penal battalion formed under the infamous Order 227 – units sent into the deadliest missions with no room for retreat or mercy.
Based on real historical accounts and veterans’ testimonies, the game follows condemned soldiers through four connected campaigns spanning 1942–1945 – from the desperate defenses in Volhynia and Poland to the final assault on Germany. Every mission demands precision, courage, and sacrifice, blending large-scale battlefield tactics with brutal, up-close skirmishes.
Built on an enhanced GEM engine, Condemned Heroes introduces improved physics, visuals, and animation, making the chaos and realism of war more visceral than ever. Its unforgiving design and historical authenticity create a raw, cinematic experience that pushes players to lead with strategy and survive against impossible odds.

德国人的坦克比我的士兵还要多
Men of War: Condemned Heroes had one of the most promising concepts in the series. Playing as a Soviet penal battalion through some of the harshest battles of the Eastern Front based on real historical events offered a refreshing perspective and had the potential to tell a much darker, more personal story than previous entries. Unfortunately, the execution falls short. The core Men of War gameplay is still enjoyable, and the Direct Control mechanic remains as satisfying as ever. However, the campaign focuses almost entirely on small infantry engagements, with little variety from one mission to the next. Too many objectives boil down to clearing another trench line or fortified position, and the difficulty often feels frustrating rather than rewarding. Compared to previous games, this standalone entry brings very little that feels genuinely new. While the historical setting is compelling and the atmosphere is solid, repetitive mission design and uneven pacing prevent it from reaching the standards set by earlier titles. I wouldn't call it a bad game, but it is one of the weaker entries in the franchise. If you're already a fan of Men of War, it's worth playing for its unique historical perspective. Otherwise, I'd recommend starting with Soldiers: Heroes of World War II, Faces of War, Men of War, or Assault Squad, which represent the series at its very best.
Очень хорошая игра
the game is unbeatable as 1 mission is bugged out also the ai is retarted
The SDL disk error can't be fixed, the game became unplayable after 16 hours.
It's just an extra DLC campaign, if you liked Men of War you'll probably enjoy this too.
can't progress past first trench mission because bugs, unplayable
В Красной Армии большей храбрости требует отступление, чем атака! (В этой части - изыска техники и поддержки вам не видать. Все, что ваши оборванцы отнимут у рейха поступит в распоряжение.)
Men of War: Condemned Heroes показывает войну глазами тех, кому уже нечего терять. Штрафной батальон, сложные задания и постоянная нехватка людей делают каждую миссию напряжённой от начала и до конца. Победа здесь ощущается как заслуженная награда.
