playing this game with checkpoints off will truly put the fear of god into a man

Rerunner's concept is amazing, but unfortunately its execution falls short. The game is unnecessarily graphically demanding, with inherent lag that makes precision jumping pretty frustrating on the harder levels. The new abilities are interesting, but level design is mostly modified versions of the previous games. The new and most important feature, the ability to create custom stages, depends on an active community that doesn't seem to be there.

If you had a Wii and want to go back to the old times, this is the perfect game :D

I've been a Bit.Trip fan since the first game. Got it in a Humble Bundle forever ago, and since I've played all in the series. This was a lot of fun to go back to. I really enjoyed the changes, and the ability to go back and play the classic levels. If you are interested in this style of game, would highly recommend.

BIT.RIP ReRunner improves on the original Runner in every way while still keeping its charm. As someone who has died many times in the original, it was a breath of fresh air to see checkpoints during the levels. The graphics are also amazing and I'm glad they kept certain design elements like Commander Video's 3D sprite style. Finally, Stemage did an amazing job with the soundtrack and brought some new life to tracks like the Boss Theme. Would recommend.

It really is just BIT.TRIP RUNNER but more and I couldn't be happier. The level creator is just the cherry on top, this is an amazing game for those who like the original.

Man......this takes me back. Bit Trip Runner was one of the first indie games I ever remember playing and I played it back in the WiiWare days. This was such an awesome remake that tightens up the controls, adds level checkpoints (which were sorely needed), and tops it all off with an amazing presentation and tons more content. Don't even bother with the original version of the game...this remake surpasses it in every way possible. I loved the additions to the core gameplay and make the levels feel more challenging but also more fair at the same time. Cannot recommend this one enough for all the rhythm fans out there! I'll be playing it off and on for years to come, especially because of the included level maker. Such a sick inclusion!

I was a big fan of bit trip runner when it was a Wii Ware. Now today, I can play this masterpiece again, with bunch of Runner2 and Runner3 tracks and all other game made by choice provisons (Gaijin game) Thanks for the memories

It's harder than the original (and doesn't have the same issues that the original did with slow-rolling early levels with tedious "yes you can jump" tutorial segments) Good blast from the past. Wish they'd remake the rest of the OG six bit.trip games though.

Very fun autorunner. I haven't played much of the original games but it's a fun little game and I enjoyed my time. controls feel tight and I never felt like I died for reasons outside my own skill. Sometimes can be repetitive but for the run time I think it's a really good length. Plus if you want more there's all the online created levels.
