I like the game but its yet another trap. I mean look at my time in the game already. Now think I still what feels like 2 times as much to get all the creatures they want for the Achievements. Disgusting how games think they should lock us in for years. I have tons of money and nothing to spend it on. Balance on how much things should cost like making coal or planks isnt even right. Balancing in this game sucks.
This is a truly idle game well worth the 15 minutes per day I actively set things up and plan towards that next creature unlock. I'm at the point now where i'm going to try and 100% the game, get every creature, every achievement, every skill to 99 etc. It actually feels like highway robbery to me that this game is completely free, no microtransactions, no ads, no dlc, no FOMO, no gatcha, no battlepasses, no skins. I feel like the dev has earned the right to monetize their next game, just maybe do it like melvor idle which I think has a very fair pricing and monetization model.

Trash game made by AI. Fun for a couple of hours and then it's a log in for 5 seconds and log out for the day type of game. The explanation of stuff like Machines doesn't tell you what it does until you spend 400,000 gold to unlock it. Then it's a complete trash mechanic. Lol - Don't waste your time
WHY CANT I MINE SALT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? this stupid game does not make it easier even after 170 hours of play.
Koltera 2 is an idle creature‑collecting and resource‑gathering retro game with a charming and low‑pressure loop. There’s a reasonable amount of systems to engage with, the monster designs are cute and the game shows a lot of promise. However, players who prefer more active incremental games will likely find the pace very slow. It’s the kind of game you check in on for about ten minutes a day—complete a few quests, craft some items, buy from the merchant, clear rocks, plant or upgrade flowers in the garden—and then log out. The offline progress is massive after a full 24 hours, which makes the daily‑check‑in rhythm feel intentional. Summoning and leveling creatures takes time, but they’re adorable and genuinely useful. They’ll gather resources or run dungeon expeditions for you, which helps smooth out the grind. The biggest drawback is the rough pixel presentation; the visuals are noticeably weak compared to the charm of the gameplay. Overall, I recommend this game, especially if you enjoy slow‑burn idle titles with cute companions and generous offline progression.
Initial impressions are very mixed. I enjoy idlers and have logged countless hours in ITRTG and Melvor Idle, both clear inspirations for this game. The progression seems to be based around unlocking critters, which I suppose is a satisfying and long-term goal, but it just doesn't have a satisfying punch. As for the skilling mechanics, this game does a lot of things right. Gathering skills are "your character does one at a time", with creatures being able to help, and workstations allow queueing recipes (which Melvor sorely lacks) and working on all stations at once. There is a good foundation of a game here, the blocks are in place, but the execution is just landing poorly. The other thing staring me in the face is the creature design. I've got no reason to claim the art is AI generated, but the description text sure feels like it. Every single description is "A X-like create that [some hibby/personality]. It is/does [other personality trait]." Each creature feels lifeless, since you unlock them by spending items and they all level up passively by doing anything. Their elements and traits affect their strength at different activities, but these feel extremely arbitrary. As a player I feel like I'm just on rails, not really making any decisions on how to progress or tackle objectives, just update my activity to the latest thing and unlock creatures one at a time. There's just none of the theorycrafting or number crunching you can find in many other long-term idle games. Oh, and if your game is fully out, it shouldn't have "Placeholder flavor text, to be written in the future" on anything, much less an early game creature unlock. This is the indicator to me to stop playing and find a different game. I will change my review if updates are made that address these considerations, otherwise I think there are better idlers out there.
Too slow, compared to something like Magic Research 2 which is also all about creatures summoning - this is not good, wasted 45 minutes and barely did any progress. Also it is very generic, i have seen same gameplay in many other games like Melvor Idle. And they were similary bad. Getting 8 ore takes like a minute of real time, to make just 1 bar and you need 50 bars per instrument? Wtf with you dev? Have you played things like Terraria? Have you any understanding of proper balance? Infuriating! Things that normally takes seconds in other games take tens of minutes here, it is just as fun as watching Gothic 3 loading bar when it first released.
Depois de inúmeras horas, o jogo fica sendo muito "mais do mesmo". O que deveria ser divertido, invocar as criaturas, não é.
