About
The Year is 2082. You take the role of Bill, a grizzled former trucker turned robojockey. In a world where resources are scarce, Bill owns a mining claim for Fluxiam-7, which is used to provide many of the energy needs for the late 21st century. TorxCorp, who owns a nearby Quarry has it's eye on Bill's claim, and has decided to steal Bill's treasured figurines he keeps on the dash of his mekk, and also kidnapped his girlfriend Beth. With the help of Bill's friend Rusty, it's up to you to take the reigns of Bill's mekk and get those figurines back! Also Beth too if it isn't too much of a hassle.

Relive the glory days of the good old days with this first-person mech take on the classic Boomer Shooter gameplay. The in-cockpit view gives the retro 16-bit FPS feel a whole new twist.
Moving around in your sluggish Mekk feels surprisingly smooth, Bill has truly mastered the giant robot’s controls like no other. And his weapons pack a punch! Make Swiss cheese of the enemies with bullets from afar or get up-close and personal with your dual saws.
Bill is a grizzled, and extremely hairy middle-aged man who doesn’t take shit from anyone. Torxcorp is going to get a 2-ton foot, straight up their ass for trying to take what is his.
Discover a secret area in each level to get back your limited edition dash figurines, or even more cockpit trash! Spruce up your cockpit and watch them shake & sway along with the action.

This is my attempt at a fair review. Mekkablood (or as I prefer to think of it, Red-mech Rampage) is... decent for its price. It's not mindblowing, but if you like mindless boomer shooters and are looking for something slightly different, you'll have some fun with it once you get used to some initial weirdness. What I liked: - It's different from your average boomer shooter. Your basic attack is rushing into robots with two chainsaw arms and you can see what's behind you and to the sides at all times. - The levels and enemies are all pretty varied and unique. - The AI assets don't look bad in the actual game and give the game a unique visual flair (which kinda matches the robot theme), but the menus are pretty lackluster and made me wish they were better designed. - Watching your arm move the stick in first person to match your movement direction never stops being funny. What I didn't like: - The game is slowed down by the need to destroy crates manually and collect pickups from a very close distance, especially when replaying a level. The crates themselves are 2d billboards, which looks jarring. I wish the crates were actual 3d objects and that you could simply STOMP over them to collect ammo/armour, since you're a mech. - Enemies and enemy projectiles blend in with the environment and come with little telegraphing, especially at a distance, which makes fights in large rooms unfair. Enemy rockets are also bizarrely fast. - Enemy AI is... weird. Sometimes enemies stand still and wait until you shoot them, sometimes they keep firing at you from behind a locked door, and sometimes they spot you once and track you down across the level and ambush you from behind randomly. - The death screen is pretty bland compared to old-school boomer shooters. You just get a game over screen and go back to the last save point.
art is lacking soul cause of ai, cool concept though
WHOA BUDDY!! Let me tell ya this feels like what I used to play back in the day! Hahaha really liked what this developer was able to do. I appreciate the throw back game.
Such a fun game! Love the nostalgia with the Wolfenstein/Doom vibes. Fun fast paced game, didn't even notice how long I was playing it for. The details are awesome too, love the cameras that show what's behind you so that an enemy doesn't sneak up on you. Would definitely recommend!
Doom + mecha it's an untapped potential that sadly remains untapped. A shame though because the art is fine as heck. The game simply have too many missteps: floaty combat, copy paste rooms, uninterestig enemy, cunfusing level design
The game is too difficult, no difficulty settings. If it wasn't so difficult I think I would have really enjoyed the game.
BADASS in my HUD blasting ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ robots. Was so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ psyched for this game and I'm so excited to keep playing and collecting bobbleheads like pokemon cards. Awesome game - def recommend if you love boomer-shooters
Seems like a decent little doom-like. If you like the genre, you'll probably enjoy this. If you don't I suspect you'll find it too retro to enjoy.
[Update] Option for inverting the Y-Axis has been added! :D [Original] This won't effect everyone, but the lack of an option to invert Y-Axis aiming direction is really hurting me lol Very early days and the game shows a lot of promise!
Great game overall! A retro mech shooter bursting with chaotic fun. Chunky 8-bit visuals scream classic DOOM and Contra, paired with fast paced mayhem that never lets up. Wreck enemies with up close melee brawls or blow them to bits from a distance. Hunt secrets to deck out your cockpit with silly collectibles. Currently sweating my way to the finale it’s tough and gloriously chaotic. Must play! :)
