:“v2r.exe 已停止工作”
)。
Megadimension Neptunia VIIR, developed by IDEA FACTORY and COMPILE HEART and published by Idea Factory International, Inc., is both a refinement and a reinterpretation of an already established JRPG, aiming to expand upon the foundation of Megadimension Neptunia VII while introducing new features that attempt to modernize the experience. It remains firmly rooted in the identity of the Hyperdimension Neptunia series, embracing its signature blend of anime-inspired storytelling, industry satire, and lighthearted absurdity. Rather than reinventing itself entirely, VIIR leans into what fans already appreciate, while layering in technical and experimental additions that give it a slightly different feel compared to its predecessor. The narrative once again centers on Neptune and a cast of colorful goddesses representing gaming consoles, navigating a multi-dimensional crisis that unfolds across several distinct arcs. Each storyline carries its own tone and stakes, shifting between comedic self-awareness and more serious, high-stakes scenarios. What makes the storytelling stand out is its unapologetic tendency to break the fourth wall—characters frequently reference gaming culture, development clichés, and even the player’s role within the experience. This approach gives the game a unique charm, but it also creates an uneven tone where heartfelt moments and parody coexist in ways that may not always feel seamless. For players who enjoy meta-humor and niche references, the writing can be entertaining and memorable, though others may find it excessive or distracting. Combat follows a turn-based system that incorporates movement and positioning within a defined arena, adding a tactical layer beyond simple command selection. Players can reposition characters before attacking, chain abilities together, and utilize transformations that grant enhanced powers and visual flair. The system is accessible and offers enough strategic flexibility to remain engaging, particularly during boss encounters or more challenging fights. However, over time, the lack of significant evolution in mechanics can lead to a sense of repetition. While the core system is solid, it does not introduce enough new ideas as the game progresses to consistently keep battles feeling fresh throughout its lengthy campaign. One of the most notable additions in VIIR is its VR component, which introduces a more immersive way to interact with the game’s characters. Through these segments, players can engage with characters in a first-person perspective, often within a personalized space where dialogue and interactions feel more direct and intimate. While this feature is novel and aligns well with the game’s playful tone, it ultimately feels more like an optional bonus rather than a defining aspect of the experience. Players without VR hardware can still access simplified versions of these interactions, and the overall game does not rely heavily on this feature to deliver its core appeal. Visually, the game offers incremental improvements over earlier entries, with cleaner character models and slightly enhanced lighting effects. The character designs remain vibrant and expressive, serving as one of the strongest aspects of the presentation. However, this visual quality is not consistent across all elements of the game. Environments, particularly dungeons, tend to lack variety and detail, often feeling repetitive after extended play. This contrast between well-designed characters and more generic world design highlights one of the game’s ongoing challenges—its presentation shines in moments but struggles to maintain that standard throughout. Dialogue and character interactions play a central role in shaping the experience, with extensive conversations that flesh out personalities and relationships. The writing is filled with humor, references, and exaggerated personalities, creating a lively and often chaotic atmosphere. For fans of the series, this is a major draw, as it reinforces the charm and identity of the characters. However, the sheer volume of dialogue can slow down pacing, and not every exchange carries equal weight. Some sections feel overly drawn out, which can interrupt the flow between gameplay segments. Despite its strengths, Megadimension Neptunia VIIR does not fully escape the limitations of its design philosophy. Many of its systems feel rooted in older JRPG conventions, and while the game introduces new elements, they are not always integrated in a way that significantly enhances the overall structure. The experience can feel fragmented at times, with strong individual components that do not always come together as cohesively as they could. This gives the impression of a game that is comfortable within its niche but hesitant to push beyond it in meaningful ways. In the end, Megadimension Neptunia VIIR is a game that thrives on personality and familiarity rather than innovation. It offers a colorful cast, a playful and self-aware narrative, and a combat system that, while not groundbreaking, remains enjoyable. For fans of the series, it delivers exactly what is expected, along with a few additional features that add variety without drastically changing the formula. For newcomers, however, its quirks, pacing, and reliance on established conventions may feel uneven. It is a charming and occasionally inconsistent experience, but one that succeeds in delivering an entertaining journey for those willing to embrace its unique style. Rating: 7/10
Random crashes. I get an hour or two of play if I'm lucky. Looks like errors are mostly sound related reported around Dec 2018 with no known fixes. Also the VR is very meh.
I'm NOT gonna play this without vr

I absolutely adore this game, the story is my favourite of any nep game. The VR gimmick is pretty scuffed for the pc port but the scenes were still super fun, and I didn't mind the combat changes from other mainline titles. Grab it on sale and give it a go
