Reviews

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This just isn't it, way too much grind for not much reward, I will say though the game is made well it's just not for me
I'll love survival games but often create and gather too much. I've always wanted to be able to play with others and trade, however in games like Ark players just destroy your home often times. I also play at a slow pace and enjoy exploration. This game has provided a lot of what I enjoy. I can craft, gather, build, get married, have children, trade, hunt, explore, and quest. Any time i get bored with something i can go do another thing. Having villagers let's my production stay up so i can go gallivanting off in the countryside. The ability to customize my game play on the fly has been awesome too. If I want to up the ante while hunting no problem, if I want to take it easy and get my village together right quick I can do that too and I dont have to restart. I do prefer playing as a female but can see complications for that with the story and childcare bits. Overall I'm really enjoying it.
This is my FIRST REVIEW of a game ever. As a game writer myself, I had to talk about the writing as Medieval Dynasty has a strong concept, but the writing badly hurts the immersion... I really wanted to enjoy the roleplaying side of this game because the setting, survival systems, village building, and medieval atmosphere all have a lot of potential. But the dialogue constantly pulls me out of the world. The biggest issue is that the writing often does not feel medieval at all. Characters regularly speak like they are in a modern comedy sketch instead of living in the world the game is trying to build. One example that really stood out was asking about bandits, only for the ruler to respond with word for word, “This is the safest place there is! I’m the only one who can protect them! So stop with these idiotic questions! Trust me, you don’t want to get on my bad side, punk. You don't want to see what happens when the protection wears off...” Yeah..."punk" had a way different meaning back then if it was even used, and most of the dialogue just seems immature. It felt less like a believable medieval ruler and more like a writer trying too hard to be funny or edgy. The response options are not much better. Choices like “forgive me my lord and my stupid tongue for speaking such hogwash,” “of course sir,” or “forget that I asked” feel flat and unnatural. Even the children often speak like adults, which makes the world feel less alive and less believable. As a game writer myself, this kind of writing really stands out because dialogue is supposed to support immersion, character, tone, and worldbuilding. Instead, it often breaks the atmosphere completely. I think Medieval Dynasty would benefit a lot from hiring or consulting a stronger narrative/game writer. The gameplay foundation is interesting, but the writing needs serious improvement if the studio wants the roleplaying side to feel believable.
Honestly can't believe i haven't written a review for this until now but i took a notion! Has gotten better and better with time.. it's not perfect but i've built a couple of mega villages and some others with friends. I can confidently say the 850+ hours i've put into this have been mostly relaxing with only slight agitation and disbelief like getting leather off of a deer? makes no sense considering the production chains associated with berries for example XD that said i have gotten over these weird aberrations long ago. If you have an interest in survival rpgs and the medieval then i would recommend...you can be creative and manage a large settlement (which gets to be a job in itself!) or you can keep a small estate and build a dynasty! The choice is yours but the experience is not particularly limiting, nor is it massively open...it's just right imo and i wish you luck on the journey of making your mark in this medieval world!
Great game. Family friendly enough for my 8 year old to play with me. He doesn't do the quests, so he doesn't usually have to worry about any of their random inappropriate commentary or language. I do wish there was a setting to remove those words. My son just builds, farms, hunts and rides his 14 horses. :)
Unexpectedly amazing game!
