Your initial story mission is a constant travel from the 1st city to a guy in the middle of the woods. And what do you have spawning 30m from his cabin... Wolves... what are your initial weapons... Sticks... So each travel to his Cabin is certain death. IT IS SOOOOO FUN!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Medieval Dynasty... I can only describe this game in one phrase: I simply love it. One of the original games to popularize this style of "Dynasty" gameplay, Medieval Dynasty has inspired plenty of copy over the years. Judging by their reviews, though, it's safe to say that none of them have managed to beat the original. After 30 hours of playtime in just two weeks, I think I've spent enough time with it to leave a proper review.
The learning curve can be scary:
I first discovered this game while it was still on Early Access on my Steam front page. I wasn't planning to buy it immediately because I wanted to see how it would develop first. So I added it to my wishlist and hoped it wouldn't become yet another abandoned survival game. Looking at it now, I couldn't have been more wrong. I first tried the game on the Xbox Game Pass but was met with disappointment when my hardware obviously couldn't handle it at the time. So, fair warning: you'll want a reasonably capable PC with decent hardware if you want to enjoy the game at its best. When I finally bought it, I was immediately hooked. It took quite a bit of a bit of a challenge on handling the learning curve considering how you're immediately plunged into the open world with no hand-holding at all. It's basically: "Go out there and start grinding, you parentless peasant." and I kid you not, it's one of the most intimidating feelings ever. But I took joy in that learning process, gave it my patience and time, without googling any tips like "How to build the Roman Empire in one day in Medieval Dynasty." It took me around 4.5 hours to really understand what I was doing, and as time went on I slowly felt the grind getting worse, but every restart taught me something new. What initially took me two hours eventually took only one, and by my third attempt I had learned from my mistakes enough to build a self-sufficient village that could run itself without constant babysitting.
Storytelling:
To be quite honest, I know nothing much from the story since I'm only halfway there and trying not to rush things, as it's not meant to be played that way, but I've never been more immersed in a story told only through text with no voice acting by "routine style NPCs", yet it's almost like I can hear their voices coming out of my head as I read their dialogues. Truly some games prove that sometimes, it's better to leave some parts of a story to the player's imagination. This is only based on the first map, and I heard that it only gets better once you're ready to start playing the "seasoned player" map. That's more than enough motivation for me to keep getting better at micro managing my lowly peasants Overall, I believe this game, whoever is reading this, deserves your chance. Especially if you like a mix of RPG, survival, and micro-management simulation with just enough building mechanics to make your creativity work, though it's best not to overthink it. Just don't go into it expecting to recreate a historically accurate medieval metropolis overnight. Take your time, embrace the learning curve, and let your village grow one step at a time. Oh and I also love preparing various meals for my villager, maybe one day I'll have enough confidence to buy and try out the cook book
Short review after getting almost all achievements (missing only 2 that i will get when time passes): a solid survival/crafting medieval RPG still left with some room for improvements. Pros: - Nailed the world and setting, while it has no fantasy elements, the style locations and terrain fit the medieval setting to the point and are well made - While the soundtrack will not win any awards the music is solid, the ambiance and tavern soundtrack is very well done and deserves a mention - Superb survival and crafting/building system most certainly the main strength of this game. From a simple hut to a prosperous medieval village/small town you have it all. The building and NPCs behave organic as you would expect and the progression feels rewarding and well paced. The game has both a personal skill system which you progress through your own actions (farming, cutting, cooking and so on) and a technology tree which you progress through the action of the whole village/community - Great itemization, a lot of items are present from food types to tools/weapons to massive amount of clothing options there is always something new to discover/create - Both single player and multi player mode present with a lot of features to tweak (do you want to progress faster, no carry limit, no stamina and so on to tailor your play style) Cons: - While there is a main story and a lot of side quests are present, they feel bland and same and are not well remembered or even the main point of the game for now - Combat system is adequate but would need future refinements (for now you only kill a small number of bandits for loot nothing else) - This game would need more random events to break the monotony of building/crafting, for instance carnivals, traveling merchants or heroes/veterans, a medieval zoo and so on which could visit your or other villages If you like a survival/crafting games with light combat and great building/crafting/survival systems this is hands down one of the best there is out there and i can recommend it to anyone. This game has a lot of potential to become even better through future refinements.
Love this game. I really do enjoy this with friends too
Look, the game is good. Nothing amazing... a bunch of free unreal assets and some paid feature packs plugged up in a way that makes a very fun game to chill out and build a town! I can see pouring a bunch of hours in easily, but it's been in early access since, uh *checks date* 2021 and still hasn't got real basic stuff. It just got the feature where furniture is usable... like after 5 years. It's got paid DLCs for asset packs. Combat is broken. The buildings aren't even ones you build or can customize, they are standard assets only. The list of items is embarrassingly small. Every unlock is hidden behind in-game currency paywall... The game has so much potential but what started as a great idea is clearly a cash grab. Not as bad as The Isle, but still annoying. There are multiplayer survival game templates on the Unreal Marketplace much more fleshed out and fun to play than this. Until the dev actually decides to make a game, I can't give it a positive review.
