Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 10.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 9.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I'm sure it would be fun with a group of 4 going through the campaign. But... The companion NPC AI is terrible, the mission/campaign difficulty is absurd, the story is poor. They added custom difficulty settings and an instant-action mode for a reason.
It's a bit of a trope story wise. "Your old man would be proud of you" should hit hard hours after you get him killed and all. The unfortunate part for this game is that I played MechWarrior Clans first, and I can feel the improvements in the first 30 seconds MechWarrior Mercs. It's just not as intuitive and that takes a lot of the fun out. I know Clans is newer, but my MechWarrior muscle memory just can't take it.
It's MWO with a boring single player campaign and mentally challenged AI. Your AI compatriots can shoot well, but move around like headless chickens, sometimes right in front of you, thus getting shot in the back. They don't maneuver well to attack, either. You need their extra fire-power. But you won't like having them around. The enemies are worse. You will face lots of tanks and vtols, they are just moving turrets with 1 or 2 guns. To make them harder to hit, they constantly drive in circles. There is no tactical advantage in where they drive to or that they try to stay at optimal distance. No, they just drive around like ducks in a pond. The enemy mechs are not any smarter. They don't position themselves, they also just run around. Missions are mostly designed around being a slog. Defend/Destroy X targets or defend/destroy a base, then come home. If you never played a MechWarrior game that may be fine. But if you played MWO, you get exactly that gameplay, with a retarded AI instead of players. And infinitely respawning enemies. There were always tanks, VTOLs and mechs spawning out of nowhere it seemed. So forget clearing the area. Rush the objectives and get out asap. Btw, the easiest way to destroy buildings is to just walk into them. It doesn't damage your mech and deals maximum damage to the building. Then back home, repair your mechs. Upgrades are slow, because the game uses the hardpoint system again, and there are not that many different weapons you can put on a mech. And you won't get new mechs all too quick, either. And the customization is much less than in MWO. By default the game only shows you the weapon hardpoints and lets you exchange the weapons. You have to click to change the view to be able to see heatsinks, ammo and similar. You can't exchange the engine, no sensor upgrades (I've seen) or any other customisation that actually makes your mech feel different. The mechbay also doesn't tell you how much ammo you have in total for a given type or how much heat your guns will produce in an alpha strike. There is no ferro-fibrous armor or endo-steel or anything special. When you buy equipment it's not even obvious to see what the size of the gun is and if it can fit in your hardpoint. Also Long Range Missiles have a minimum range or the launcher won't fire, but the game won't tell you what it is... The game deliberately wants to keep it "simple". So what you will do, is play battle after battle of the same old song to grind for recognition, money and mechs. So you can keep grinding for recognition, money and mechs. It's like a mediocre racing game, but for mech combat. And if you ever make your company run out of money the game ends immediately. There are no pity missions, no loans to take, nothing. The game wants you to load an earlier safe-file from when you weren't a failure and pretend nothing happened. And the story...my god. You are the son of a mercenary captain. Your dad died because he listened to your stupid idea to walk right into a combat zone and was too stupid to walk around debris. And now you take his place and rebuild his ♥♥♥♥♥♥ crew from the nothing that he had, to something better. After almost 4 hours I have done what I can to enjoy the game, but I just don't. At best it was only boring, but most of the time it felt like the game tried to stop me from doing the fun things. Maybe I'm just a MechWarrior hater, but I can't recommend the game at all.
My first review on Steam, and boy this was a total stinker. I have well over 1k hours in BattleTech from HBS here on Steam and love everything about it so I incorrectly figured that would translate into "fun" with a live action version. This game misses the mark on so many levels that I could rage about it all night, but no way I am typing my gripes out as the list is very long. In short: It's bloody awful, please avoid.
