About
ON A GOOD DAY, ONLY 2.5 MILLION PEOPLE WILL DIE.
As vast alien mining cities suck the power and minerals from every major metropolis on Earth simultaneously, time is of the essence as millions of civilians are expiring by the second.
Using your stealth parachute and the now infamous 'Zooming' head-mounted sniper-weapon, your task is to slip in undetected from the sky, seek out and remove the alien leader by any means.
MDK gives you awesome super smooth 3D gameplay.
Plus, with the most advanced weapons ever created in a video game, you can 'take' out an alien's eye from five miles away or just neatly carve your name in his forehead!

An early FPS gaming masterpiece.
A weird and slightly flawed masterpiece. Of course it's one of those games you need a community made patch to run properly, however that's the only flaw I ran into in my 3 hour playthrough with one death. Don't get me wrong, this game might be pretty easy, but it's some damn good fun. The only problem I had is that it wasn't showing in my task bar when I tried to tab back in after streaming the game to discord. It's a bit uncomfortable in some areas and having some bizarre texture choices. Of course the sexual overtones were also a bit jarring, but if you look past the story and focus on the gameplay, hoo boy do you have a fun timewaster. If you've got 3 hours to spare, pick this game up and have some fun blasting aliens in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ face
I had this game since the 90's, but somehow managed to complete it just now, more than 20 year later. It was still worth playing! :) To properly enjoy it (or to be able to play it at all), search for and install "MDK Steam Fan Patch by Alyxx".
It's 1999, I'm 5 years old playing all amazing games of that decade, including MDK. If I could assemble my life, MDK would be just one fragment of all that composes my life. This game evoked such beautiful emotions when I was a kid and did the same back when I was 12 (when I first beat the game on my PS1) and now as well on my 20's. I've nothing to say about this game except all the good memories I had when younger. I love it to the core. Pros: If you played it back then, it will be like an affective memory and you'll feel like a child again where nothing but having fun were a priority. Cons: You may experience some bugs even with Alyxx's fan patch to make it playable such as, crashing, 3D fx bugs, I had some audio noises (like a static) and that's all I can report. Bad port for Win10 but I still loved it. 10 out of 10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
It took me way too long to realize they patched this game to run on modern devices. Now that that's the case this is 100% worth it. There is a reason they had it as a pack in for Mac's pack in the '90s it's still one of the best PC games of that decade. The only thing I'd say is there is a decent bit of experimentation with the controls, or just play on a controller which works really well and I'd very much recommend it. i like kurt
it is an amazing game with moody ambient
Great game back in the day, I remember playing this game on my dads lap at a young age when he taught me how to use the pc, Still have the original disk but it doesn't run however I decided to get it on steam. Unfortunatly it doesn't work without major player patching, downloads, I wish they would create a full game remaster. I will be putting a "yes" as i hope that if enough people give it interest maybe it can get a revamp from steam that works. I was hoping when I bought this to be able to relive a game that brings many fond childhood moments.
This game stood out when it was released when I first played it with my friends and it still stands out. amazing atmosphere, specific sense of humor and playability. Of course, compared to today's graphics it is poor ... although it is part of the climate that makes up the whole game. It would be nice to see the HD version, maybe Ramake's or return to the series.
MDK is a disappointingly dated endeavor. The game feels like it’s begging for a proper remake, but as is, it’s too aged to recommend. The controls certainly predate modern shooter sensibilities, and even with plenty of tinkering, I couldn’t really get it to feel fully comfortable. The combat is rather bland, as the most reliable way to take out foes is by strafing and whittling down enemy health bars. As long as you keep moving, you’ll be safe from most threats. The sniper rifle is an interesting inclusion for the time, but its implementation here is lacking. Your mobility is heavily restricted, so it can be hard to take advantage of in active combat. When you’ve got gunfire approaching you, as is often the case, it can be quite frustrating when the game requires you use the sniper rifle to destroy an obstacle or dispose of an enemy. At least the item pickups are enjoyable. The sniper rifle has a number of ammo types useful in different situations, and you can get several subweapons and a handy decoy as well. The levels start and end with free fall segments which are fairly disposable, although I suppose it’s neat that you actually descend toward the stage at the start. The level design is rather basic, with many linear hallways or large flat arenas. The platforming is fairly unremarkable too, and though the gliding is fun, the game rarely takes advantage of it beyond some wind currents. Overall, I’m sure MDK was a great game in its time, but I don’t feel it remains a compelling third-person shooter today.
