Saudade dos anos 90, do meu super nintendo....
The PC version of this game is downright brutal. It's not a good port to modern standards and does not include critical cheats in case the game is 'too unforgiving', which it is. It needs to be looked at from the ground up to be better playable for modern gamers. The SNES port was way better. Do not buy this game. You will not enjoy it.
10/10 because it works well on Windows 10.

Alt+F4 for when you decide to launch this game and find you're stuck with nowhere to go. Looks like a great game and seems like a wild idea with a nice look and great sound but the speed of the game plus the motion hurts my eyes to focus on and no menu to go to where it locks up your computer is just the cherry on top as to why you should play this game in another form.
If you like old school, hard-ass platform games, well, this is the one for you
It's got a bug that prevents you from shooting in the air sometimes when you jump. This gets super annoying when you get the staff and it has to be used for platforming because sometimes the stuff doesn't swing and you'll fall to your death. If they fixed this, it would really be such an amazing game.
Unfortunately, I didn't have this game when I was a kid, so this was my first time playing it and I loved it!
Original game was great but this port is so bad it's hardly playable. Try the GOG version.
controles sao pessimos. nao recomendo.
I WANTED to like this game. I really, really did. I had a LOT of fond memories of playing this on my SNES. The music, the colorful characters, the concept...all of it was solid. But of the versions that they could have chosen to port, they chose the Genesis version. The version where Maui Mallard's basic shots DON'T cover the full screen. The version with a ticking timer for ninja mode. The version with EXTREMELY finicky timing and precision for the ninja swings. I literally couldn't get past the second portion of the second stage...because I kept falling down...because I was TRYING to jump at the apex of a swing forward, only to end up turning around at the last second. And when there's a pit of spikes waiting for you, you cannot AFFORD to have finicky timing and precision for your "swinging mode" portions. And that's WITHOUT taking the unfair hit detection of enemy attacks vs Maui Mallard's ninja mode's strikes. Oh, and did I leave out the part where they DON'T BOTHER TELLING YOU what buttons on your controller equate to which button numbers in the option menu? Because they DON'T. I had to reset the game over and over and OVER until I figured out what configuration of buttons would SORT OF match up with what I'm USED to in a platforming game. I might take a moment and try this again later. But right now, I'm afraid that I'd suggest getting this on a discount sale, if at all...and even then, I STILL would have preferred the SNES mode.
