Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

Reviews
this is a nostalgic throw back to Master of Orion. With Clean game play with an understandable tech tree. combat for its time is actually pretty good.
relaxing and fun
+ for nostalgia. Not a big fan of the move to warp gates and real-time combat. Is it as good as or better than the latest 4X game, maybe not, but that doesn't mean it's not a great game.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Play the game, but leave the Antarans turned off. They're scaled as they spawn to have a good chance of beating you if you bring your ENTIRE fleet to fight them.
I’m really new to the space 4x genre and this game is a fantastic entry point to start learning before going to more complex ones like endless space and galactic civ. I’m enjoying the factions and for an older game it looks good I think. I recommend it if you wanna get into the genre but not be overwhelmed at first
Master of Orion — ★★☆☆☆ 2.0 / 5 Master of Orion has an appealing universe and runs exceptionally well, but its many systems rarely develop into meaningful variety. After 45.6 hours, I cannot recommend it: the empire grows larger, while the game itself barely becomes more interesting. I like this kind of 4X game, and Master of Orion has a universe and presentation that make me want to play it. There are enough victory conditions, the overall structure is easy to understand, and technically I have little to criticize. Across 45.6 hours I encountered no relevant bugs, crashes or performance problems. What does not The main problem is that the game grows quantitatively rather than qualitatively. More planets mean more colonies to manage, but not more interesting decisions. Each colony requires attention, yet their development increasingly converges on the same solution: maximum terraforming followed by most of the same buildings. The factions suffer from a similar problem. Their differences have little lasting influence on how a campaign develops. Even differences in starting planets become less relevant once terraforming enters the equation. For a genre built around replayability and different strategic approaches, that severely limits the appeal of starting another campaign. Combat is another system that exists without giving me much reason to engage with it. Tactical control is available, but I rarely found a meaningful advantage in using it. Having the option to intervene is not the same as making that intervention interesting. The AI also failed to create much pressure in my latest game on Normal. With score victory disabled, the other empires mostly fought among themselves and largely left me alone. I eventually abandoned the campaign because it had become boring rather than difficult. Espionage feels similarly vague. A level-5 spy can fail even the easiest mission, but the system gives too little useful feedback for such outcomes to feel like calculated risks instead of arbitrary results. Completion is where repetition becomes excessive. Achievements that effectively require completing all five victory types across the different races turn an already repetitive late game into an enormous checklist. That is not additional challenge; it is simply a demand to replay largely similar campaigns many times. Conclusion Master of Orion contains many of the systems I want from a 4X game, but too few of them create lasting strategic variety. Its strongest qualities are the universe, presentation and technical stability, while its weakest point is the actual long-term gameplay loop. A lower price would not change that. The problem is not how much content I receive for the money, but how repetitive that content becomes. Not recommended.

This game does look great and has great gameplay. The only thing which absolutely ruins it for me is pirates. Most games like this have pirates which spawn far away, or have a delay so you can get set up before they show up. In this game, pirates spawn at the same time as you. And yes, you can go and destroy their bases with a few ships, but they can then show up at the exact same spot a few turns later with no warning. Basically, this means that you get to spend the entire early game using your military ships as escorts for absolutely everything, otherwise a pirate will spawn on the planet you are sending a colony ship to and will destroy your colony ship
