Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

Matched by title — a reused name can pair the wrong games. * is a critic aggregate. Prices and positions are each store's United States storefront; Epic charts worldwide. Audience and Score too, except Steam's, which is worldwide.

This plays true to the original, for those of us looking for a reliving of the '80's/'90's experience with updated graphics. If you wasted countless hours in the original versions, you'll pick right up on this one with just a quick run through of the tutorial. There are some enhancements that make a lot of sense, particularly with navigating the map, planet lists, techs, diplomacy, etc. But not a lot of "new" features, which I consider a good thing. The combat system is a particularly nice enhancement, with options to lead the battles ship by ship in real time or let the computer do the results instantly using probabilities and random chance. That makes the game play either fast (for a game where a full run through can take many, many hours) or slower and more player-involved. Likewise, the option to let resource management be done by the computer makes for a quicker game, but it's still an option for those who prefer a more hands-on game. The graphics are great for a turn-based RPG, but not CPU or GPU intensive. My Nvidia 4080 laptop on a 13th generation i9 handles the Ultra setting and caps at 120 FPS (it could do a lot more) without really moving the needle on either GPU or CPU usage except during cinematic sequences. As a stand-alone RPG, it's probably beat in playability and complexity by a lot of them out there right now. But as a nostalgia piece, it's a brilliant update to an old favorite and highly recommended.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

This game is trash.
ok
excellent Strategy game
A visually more appealing update of MOO2, which I also loved. Really nothing to complain about with this game, except that I miss the classic Jeremy Soule compositions of MOO2 :)
Not too complicated, great graphics and addictive
nicht so wie früher aber nett
Easy and zen
