One of the best games, particularly for its era, that's ever been made. It is still relevant today.
Love this game even though its an oldie. I like it the best of all Master of Orions. Its like Civ in space.
Imagine you play on hard mode, cling on to dear life with one star system while the other factions have 5 or more, you are dead last on the history graph in every single category. And then the Antarans attack you, wipe out your entire fleet and battlestation, followed the exact next turn by an invasion of an enemy faction. Game over. This happened a couple of times so far, I could provide a dozen screenshots of this at this point. And this is just one example of the many things I noticed since installing this game recently. I get the good ratings due to the original being a masterpiece, but this simply is not the original MOO2, because I since installed that one and it is completely different. Stay away from this trash.
This is a great well balanced game with a great user interface.
My favorite game of all time, the GOAT of 4x games.
I played the original over 20 years ago, its still fun, not too fast paced for us older guys.
Clasic. The amount of management that is ok before busting your brain with micromanagement.
My PC is not a potato. This game, however, will run on one and you will enjoy it. You will be best spuds.
One of me top three favourite retro strategy games along side X-Com and Syndicate. Look forward to showing this game to my son to get him into the classics.
I've played this game since is came out in the 1990s. It's perfectly balanced.
