Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
You can view my gameplay & early impressions here: https://youtu.be/cb1pwMnPHiI I do recommend this game for any marble run fan who would like to create the marble track of their dreams. However, this is currently just a marble sandbox game. There is no single-player campaign. There is also not currently any exemplars or a steam workshop where you can share your creation or view other people's creations. There is no online multiplayer either. There is a free demo you can try though. I was able to create some interesting tracks that were fun to make. The good news is that although there is no tutorial, it is relatively easy to pick up the game's mechanics and easily build tracks. That is the best thing about this game, it's very easy to just start making tracks. You have delete, duplicate, make bigger or smaller, or group up and even save the group for later. You can easily load or save your creations as well for later viewing. Game is running on the Unreal Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting a steady 90 fps for the most part. Although, when I turned shadows on the game did run noticeably worse so I had to turn that option off. You have teleportation and snap turning on by default. However, you can easily fly around as well (both horizontally and vertically). So you can easily play game standing or seated. I did notice some issues with the marble physics. I saw the marbles sometimes go through the tracks. They also sometimes behaved in inconsistent ways. While I did enjoy the pieces that were there and you can make an infinite amount of things with those pieces, I also thought the pieces were limiting. I would like to see more pieces, decorations, & game mechanics introduced to give it more depth. Plus it does really need a Steam workshop so people can share their creations. I mean what is the point otherwise? Rate ?/10.
Please note: I received a free Steam key through the Steam Curator Connect program. Its a marble track making game but in vr. Shocked it hasnt been done before. Pretty chill game
What truly captivates me about this game are the fun puzzle themes. My favorite is Space Colonies—it's a challenge, but that’s what makes it so rewarding. I can't wait to tackle the roller coaster when I find the time; it looks even more difficult. Developers, please keep those puzzles coming! I’m also a big fan of the Steam achievements!
graphics doesn't seem to be stable and i'm using Pimax Crystal
This game will get your brain flowing with its puzzles . From the calming music to the realistic environment , Marble Mechanics makes you feel like you're at your vacation home away from the world and its issues . Need a break from the puzzles ? Move around and look at the amazing detail and effort put in each area of the house . After a few minutes of some challenging trial and error. You get rewarded with amazing effects that are the finishing touches on a successful run . It is the cherry on top of the dopamine hit . Amazing job by these Devs !!! I look forward to more updates and future projects from this team!!
