Manufactoria 2022 is a constructive puzzle game about pushing robots around. (It's okay, they don't complain.) Use simple parts to engineer solutions to open-ended problems, then rebuild 'em better! Take a company from your backyard to the soaring heights of success! How hard could it be?

Manufactoria 2022 is a remake of a classic Flash puzzle game that builds on the original without sacrificing the original spirit. If you like the "Zach-like" genre of puzzle games, if you like Turing machines*, if you like optimizing grid layouts, you will love Manufactoria. The gameplay is based on assembling machines to perform various tasks by placing parts in a grid. * Technically, the game is clearly inspired by "queue automata", which are Turing-complete, but not Turing machines. The major positives are: * Large number of levels (105) in a good difficulty progression * The challenge is based on assembling a large number of parts, but only a small number of types of parts. Some games in this genre are constantly introducing new types of parts. This game definitely is not, instead the playability is based on flexibly combining a few types of parts. * Most levels are incredibly open-ended (the task can be solved many truly different ways), except for a few basic introductory levels. * There is a good editing UI, allowing you to take portions of your grid and copy, paste, rotate, etc. * If you like optimizing solutions in this type of game, Manufactoria will provide hours and hours of entertainment beyond solving the levels, as 90+ of the levels each have "gold medals" available on 3 different criteria. The main negative would be if you don't like this genre.
Relaxing game about Queue Machines.
Delightful engineering puzzles that inspire optimization mania in the best Zachlike manner. You complete a machine with what seems like a clean intended solution, then double-take when the histograms show you a lot of people know something you don't. Then you bang your head against what seems like the impossible until that aha moment, and you have a new technique for your toolkit. I only wish it allowed coloring or labeling parts of a machine.
the only ever puzzle game who made me block on a level (I played both portal game, opus magnum and others). Solution are elegant. Also there is multiple solution to every level which makes it more fun.
An excellent puzzle game. I remember the original flash game fondly. This is more of the same with great new music and visuals.
Do you enjoy Logic Puzzles? Do you enjoy Coding? Do you like games like while True: learn()? Then you'll love this.
a favorite puzzle game of mine - absolutely fascinating, and it was the first thing that helped me understand how computers work on a fundamental level. highly recommend!
Perfect remake of a classic flash game. Couldn't put it down until I got every medal :)
My brain hurts. 10/10
I have 5 minutes of playtime. The game has crashed twice and frozen once. :( I'd love to like the game, but it just doesn't work.
