If you are looking for a quality bowling game then 'PBA Pro Bowling 2021' is definitely a consideration you should make. Before you throw the ball you will be able to freely adjust the angle and other techniques but despite this there will still often be 1 single pin standing after your attempt for a strike, a bit like when I play bowling in real life it seems. In addition to regular single player - Career, you can also throw balls online against other players. After playing bowling matches you can receive certain scores, these scores are in the form of 'tickets' and 'golden pins'. You can also buy gold pins on the steam shop page of the game if you would like to, but you can also unlock them by winning during career matches. During regular quickmatches you will only be able to win tickets & even extra tickets if you get a certain challenge ready. These tickets and gold pins can be spent in the shop in the game where there is a wide range of real life pro players, new lanes with beautiful lighting, a very wide range of bowling balls and more. In addition to the appearance of the bowling balls, they have other unique features, one can then unlock tickets or golden pins per throw, per strike, per won match, etc. There is the most interesting ball in my opinion, which also requires that you are level 999, this ball gives you 10 extra golden pins per throw, you can do something with that! But you also have to do something to reach level 999 of course. Higher levels are also required to unlock all items. Pay to win. It should be a free to play. It's essentially a mobile game that's ported over under the guise that it's an actual PC game. Multiplayer is unplayable, even with the best connection. Devs stay quiet and don't address any of the issues. I'd stay away from this one. $0.02

I purchased this title because I absolutely love the previous one. It's more or less a carbon copy of the last game, however I will stick with the previous title because there is no custom player creation in the 2021 version, you are forced to "play as an existing bowler".

[EDIT] It didn't take long for a patch to fix the issue, which was a file that was causing the game to crash, so good job FarSight! Playing through it in the beginning is pretty fun so far, and i'm impressed with the game so far. It's a bunch of fun to play through and hopefully there will be more updates in the future with more equipment/pros to play. Also would like if there was a customization option for your bowler. Like creating your own bowler with special skills, such as having more power or hooking ability. There have been older bowling games with such options. Another thing that I think would make the game much better would be when you play as a pro bowler, you have attributes that play like the bowler you play as. For example, bowling as Belmo can give you very high hook rates and speed/power. Overall, I like the game. I feel that future updates can really make it worth its $25 asking price. :)

1) Game is capped at 30fps?! This is 2021 and it's a PC. It is not 2001 and a PS2. Absolutely inexcusable. 2) You cannot create a bowler. 3) You cannot re-name a bowler. 4) The game makes balls, oil, venues, etc all gated behind absurd level or currency requirements in an attempt to extort you into giving them more money. I strongly recommend save game editing via hex editor or cheating via cheat engine to avoid giving this developer any more money than that which was used (mistakenly) to buy this game.

Hands down this is the best bowling game ive played since PBA tour on Playstation many years ago. What this game does best is capture the pin physics really well, the ball reactions to the lanes and the subtle reactions to the 12 different oils patterns. There's no better feeling than blowing the 5 pin, or tripping up that 7 pin, or rapping the 10 pin down for the crucial strike, or kicking the ball return after leaving that solid cold 8 pin. the game itself is great, challenging and rewarding. The over all selection of different balls is great, but i would like to see a few more older gems in a patch update maybe, although some of the higher end balls offer great bonus's their sweet-spot is reduced making you hit your board and speed. Don't listen to the negative gripes, you don't need to spend anymore cash, as you can grind your way up for your favorite ball, but pick wisely. All in all i personally really enjoyed this game for its realistic bowling, its great physics and the real life balls, if you enjoy bowling you will enjoy this title.

This would be an awesome game if it weren't for the pay2win mechanics. If you think purchasing bowling balls with real world cash is optional, know that the grind in this game is long and difficult without premium balls.

Kind of bootleggy and a bit of a cash grab but its a fun game, you should heavily consider not buying it if you already own the first game since they are very similar, the only difference is more balls, more pros and the game is much more difficult due the the oil patterns changing slightly game to game. There are pay to win aspects and micro transactions in a game that you already paid for which is kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and they have basically copy pasted the mobile game onto PC and consoles. The graphics and animations are super low quality but I straight up don't care about this because the game is fun and it works.
