A nice indie trading game. You control a company that trades fruits between 2 countries. Every year a new cycle begins where you buy the fruit from the producing country and need to deliver and then sell your products to the destination country, all of this while the world economy and politics is constantly changing and affecting your company. PROS - clear and functional UI - you can feel the impact of your trading decisions e.g. if you try to be cheap on the shipment you could end up losing a full year profit - the economic system is realistic and has a direct effect on gameplay CONS - could be more polished graphically - depth of the game could be further improved by adding more events and options
Lots of words, needs a better tutorial to understand what is going on.... https://youtu.be/uL6SnmNsgQU
An interesting take on commercial fruit business between two countries. The game in itself is part economic simulation and part social and political commentary on the modern economic relationship between rich and poor countries as well as on the different institutions (banks, consultancies) that make up the modern business landscape. The game is simply but interactive and fun and quite a good game for the first game of a newly founded game development company. You should give it a go. PROS - clear and functional UI and quite funny grahics - choices matter. Trying to cheap-out on distribution or transportation costs might cost you dearly - a certain dry humour permeates through the entire game. - an overall good economic simulation engine that returns realistic results. CONS - could have a tutorial or more in-game tooltips - too few events which affects replayability. Further development of the game towards more events and perhaps a more diversified economy is desirable.
The game could be pretty fun (albeit extremely short), but unfortunately the socialists can take over your country randomly at any time, which ends your game regardless of how well your company may be doing.
This game is no different than being stuck in a 2x2 sqm bedroom with just a windows 95 computer shoved to your face for all eternity. Your options are severely limited and your gameplay is post-administered by developers. No freeplay and no fun whatsoever.
