About
1. This unique war game lets you command a mix of maneuver and combat support units that you can assemble into combined-arms battle groups. Build these around a core of infantry and armor, and reinforce them with combat support elements like anti-tank or engineer platoons. Then command them across battlefields where you must synchronize maneuver and fire, and plan for ammunition replenishment, in order to defeat an enemy who fights according to tactically-sound battle plans. Fight historical scenarios or use an editor to design your own offensive or defensive battles where you can go for an easy day by crushing a mass of early-war light tanks with King Tigers, or challenge yourself to stop a flood of Soviet armor with nothing but infantry and anti-tank guns. DLCs add additional battles and operations, as well as logistics and headquarters elements.
2. Your selection of units includes:
a. motorized and mechanized infantry companies;
b. Soviet and German assault gun companies;
c. tank companies ranging from the early Panzer IID to the heavy King Tigers;
d. batteries of field artillery and multiple rocket launchers that support you with indirect fire and lay smoke screens;
e. combat engineer platoons that can lay and breach minefields;
f. reconnaissance detachments;
g. anti-tank gun platoons;
h. tank destroyer platoons that range from the very first Panzerjagers to the massive Jagdtigers;
i. forward air controllers who can call in reconnaissance and strike aircraft as well as fighters to protect you from enemy air attack; and
j. platoons of deadly 88mm Flak guns to defeat the enemy's heaviest tanks.
3. Face off against a selection of 159 British, French, German, Polish, and Soviet unit types.
4. Choose from 8 short campaigns or custom-assemble these to create a Grand Campaign.
a. 1939: Poland
b. 1940: Belgium and France
c. 1941: Operation Barbarossa
d. 1941: Operation Typhoon
e. 1942: Advance into the Caucasus
f. 1943: The Battle of Kursk
g. 1944: Defensive battles during the withdrawal across Poland
h. 1945: The final German coutneroffensive in Pomerania and fighting at the line of the Oder river.
5. Choose from 24 individual missions that include some of the key battles of the war. These are:
a. Wielun, 1939 – the initial German advance into Poland;
b. Piotrkow, 1939 – clash with Polish reserves, including their armored units, barring the road to Warsaw;
c. 1st Battle of Tomaszow Lubelski, 1939 – a defensive battle where you try to stop a break-out by surrounded Polish forces;
d. Hannut, 1940 – the battle where German panzers faced French armored forces in Belgium;
e. Meuse, 1940 – defeat a French counterattack aiming to crush a bridgehead across the Meuse;
f. Across the Bug, 1941 – the initial advance into the Soviet Union;
g. Brody, 1941 – possibly the biggest armored battle of Operation Barbarossa;
h. Kiev, 1941 – close the Kiev cauldron so Soviet armies trapped around that city can be destroyed;
i. Advance on Moscow, 1941 – punch through the Soviet defensive lines blocking the road to Moscow;
j. Southern attack on Moscow, 1941 – encircle the Soviet capital from the south;
k. The withdrawal from Moscow, 1941 – stop the Soviet counterattack outside Moscow;
l. Budyonnovsk, 1942 – advance towards the Caucasus during Operation Blue;
m. Clash in the Steppe, 1942 – defend German lines of communications in the steppe against Soviet raids,
n. Opening the Road, 1942 – destroy Soviet Forces trying to block the German withdrawal from the Caucasus;
o. Kursk, 1943 – punch through the first two Soviet defensive lines during the battle of Kursk;
p. Kursk – Prokhorovka, 1943 – fight through the massive armored clash at Prokhorovka during the Battle of Kursk;
q. Bug, 1944 – delay the Soviet advance towards the Bug river.
r. Radzymin, 1944 – counterattack the Soviet armored spearheads advancing on Warsaw and then cover the German withdrawal from this battle;
s. Stargard, 1945 – advance against the Soviets in the last German offensive in Pomerania and then cover their withdrawal from this operation;
t. Oder, 1945 – counterattack the Soviet forces that had just penetrated across the Oder River north of Berlin.

Typically, strategies of this type are turn-based and hexagonal, so it is unusual to see such a game in real time. However, this interesting approach has turned into a fairly good game. (9/10)
Advantages:
✅Good sound design, whether it is the sounds of gunfire, artillery strikes, or unit reactions to player commands. ✅A large number of campaigns, ranging from the major campaigns of 1939–1945 to smaller ones, such as the final Battle of Berlin. While completing them and commanding a combat group, your units will improve, from early motorized infantry to late Panzergrenadiers. Tanks also progress from the Panzer I and II to the Panther. You will need to constantly adjust your tactics in both defense and offense. You can also inspect every formation; each company has its commander, and each company has squads with their own commanders, who have names and can be awarded medals throughout the campaign. ✅After each battle, detailed statistics of killed and wounded personnel are available. ✅Easy for new players, so it can be played almost immediately. ✅A large number of single missions, including battles for Poland, Belgium, France, the USSR, as well as Czechoslovakia (DLC) and Yugoslavia (DLC). ✅The battles differ over time, from the dominance of German infantry and equipment in 1939 and rapid breakthroughs to the need to stop large numbers of enemy tanks and infantry in 1944–1945. ✅Pleasant visuals, and the game does not crash.
Disadvantages:
❌The interface is totally overloaded. I wouldn't say that I get very lost in it, but with each update it becomes more and more cluttered. Currently, it occupies about 30% of the screen. ❌The formation and command of combat groups are not entirely clear. ❌It is impossible to rotate a unit, so formations sometimes look chaotic.
Note:
⚡The Ukrainian language is not supported, so it will be necessary to use English. ⚡Germans speak English; it would be great to have a German voice-over. ⚡It is unfortunate that you cannot play as Poland or France; it would be interesting.
Keine Ahnung. Macht euch selbst ein Bild. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6k_Kf7Ju1Ro&feature=youtu.be
Unique style, updates can take a while but dev is available to help. Operating an infantry battalion(with atts&detts) as a part of a larger operation, you're given arcs (boundaries) where you must either advance through phase lines or defend. Determining LoS can be tricky until you learn terrain. Units are persistent and receive experience/awards as they fight. Tip: If you want to start barbarossa but would like to reconfigure your force beforehand you can start at Poland and skip missions, there doesn't appear to be any penalty.
Maneuver Warfare is a humbling adventure You must manage your forces carefully or suffer the consequences of not doing so in the next battle. As the campaign progresses, you begin to actually care about the people under your command, for better or worse. The game is a work in progress and is unique in its own right, it is definitely among my favorite gaming experiences.
I can recommend this game for anyone who likes to command that niche between smaller unit size and divisions. You command a Battlegroup (Basically a combination of Infantry and Tanks with Combat Support) in a sort of Regimental level. The missions are pretty straight forward, you get a little of background info and whatever intelligence collected before the start. Then its a go. You can remix your Batallions, put together diffrent combat support companys etc. The rest is pretty much opened up to you. How to approach the objective within the limits of advance, how to supply and support your units, etc. The enemy will adept, counter attack if possible. The controls are a little clunky and you might need a little time to get used to the interface. The menus are a bit all over the place. The developer is still very active, a few bugs I encounterd after an update got fixed at light speed, so this isnt a abandoned game or something. I like it.
i started game took more then an hour to load came back three hours later still didnt load but the gameplay clips look fun
Its becoming my favorite wargame.
Game good, needs serious polishing bug fixing and more features
This is a really poor game. I bought it because, being ex-military, I thought another ex-military person recommending this would make it a good realistic game. It's UI is not even back in the 1990s and it is clunky and completely unusable. There are so many far better games out there that are more realistic and with a better gaming user interface. How the creators of the game can charge so much is outrageous. How they are allowed to do so asks questions.
micromanage heavy, my panzers getting swarmed by infantry even tho i ordered them fall back and no group control to help coordinate my units
