Playtime for 100% achievements: about 6 hours. At the time of writing I had to edit two files to fix two achievements ("Upfront" & "The Principles of Lust") In the game's current state, I can't recommend it. Not only is the game riddled with spelling and grammatical errors, it also comes with two bugged achievements. These bugs, on their own, I can forgive. The update adding them was released 10 days ago, and as far as I can tell, there weren't any bug reports about them on the Steam forum. However, this is symptomatic of another issue, namely only 60% of the players who launched the game (33% of buyers) have finished it. Another big issue, is the absence of a textbox. There are plenty of bright scenes with almost unreadable text. Visually, the game is gorgeous. It's clear the dev has a real talent for visual design. The models, settings and backgrounds are all excellent. The story... isn't really there. On the product page, the story is described as "... about a man facing betrayal, but it's not just you, but also your daughter - whose image of this "Perfect Family" has been shattered within moments." But in the game, we see very little of this. The MC catches his wife cheating on him, his divorce is finalized a few days later, and he takes his daughter to live with his sister. There are two visits to a psychologist, and two short confrontations with the ex-wife. What I'm missing is the MC's inner turmoil, of actually finding inner peace again after the betrayal of his wife of 22 years. Instead, the story rushes into the MC's romantic involvement with his sister and daughter. This romantic involvement meanders a lot in the will-they-won't-they territory. And the conclusion of the final chapter (the only penetrative scenes in the whole game) with both LIs feels rushed and unearned. In fact, I think the romantic relationship with MC's daughter was a mistake story-wise. It doesn't feel fleshed out, unlike the relationship with his sister. This game is supposed to set up the characters and their backgrounds for the dev's next game, and could be considered a prelude or prequel. Despite my negative review, I'm still interested in what Kvitravn Tales does next. But most of all, I expect this game to be spellchecked and bugfixed first. When patches are released, I'll happily revisit this review.

Есть 2 "главных" выбора при выборе которого сюжет немного поменяется..но совершенно немного Вообще..игру можно было растянуть и добавить различные сюжетных поворотов,сюжет с другими персонажами и т.д но разработчик решил этого не делать.. Making Memories is an atmospheric visual novel that appeals to the senses and emotions if you don't mind that the main theme of the game is family relationships. There is a kind of cinematic artistic vision throughout, the pacing is very slow and erotic teasing is in the main focus. To be honest what makes it hard for me to recommend is writing. English is used quite badly and the story has no proper ending, it just ends abruptly and will be continued in another game. Although personally Making Memories gave me slightly more positives than negatives it is not for everyone.

This is a story of a guy in his mid forties coping with his wife's adultery, divorce, a lifelong incestuous yearning for his sister, and his daughter's developing crush on him. It's a slow build and the various choices don't appear to change the outcome of the story, simply changing some dialogue and possibly affecting his relationships with the various characters. The only major choice is how far the MC takes things with his daughter. The secondary characters, unlike in a lot of other AVNs, aren't there to provide more sex interest for the MC, but actually contribute to the story. The characters are all believable and individual, and attractive in their own way. The graphics have a nice soft focus effect, though this makes the animations very grainy. The first half of the story is more intriguing as it deals with the MC wrestling with his fears and doubts, while his ex-wife remains a threatening figure in his dreams. The pace changes in the second half of the story as he's now dealing with the developing incestuous relationships with his sister and daughter. The end isn't really an ending, more of a natural place to stop as the characters move on with their lives, though there's a hint that there may be more in the future. It's a Latino family in the story, but it seems to be set in Scandinavia, my guess being Sweden. This doesn't become clear until quite well on in the game! So, all good, but there is a con and it's a very big one. The spelling and grammar are poor, and though this is par for the course in a lot of VNs, this is definitely one of the worst. To complicate matters the text is often attributed to the wrong character, so I found myself having to re-read some scenes to work out what was going on. I'm playing in English so I can't comment on whether this is an issue in other languages. Overall I enjoyed the game, but a major re-edit of the text by a native English speaker would remove it's biggest issue.

Ich bin echt zwiegespalten bei diesem Titel - zuerst zum Elefanten im Raum - ja, hier geht es um Inzest (mal wieder), ja das Spiel ist recht kurz - für den geforderten Preis eigentlich zu kurz, denn ich habe für zwei Playthroughs nicht einmal 90 Minuten benötigt, auch wenn ich beim zweiten Mal natürlich die Skip-Funktion ausgiebig genutzt habe, und ja, es gibt keine Galerie-Funktion und bei den Achievements gibt es einen Bug, auch wenn man die Voraussetzungen erfüllt, wird eine Errungenschaft nicht freigeschaltet. Und ja, die erotischen Szenen im Spiel werden oben schon sämtlich gezeigt. Es gibt derer gerade mal dreieinhalb: Einmal mit der Schwester plus kleiner Zugabe direkt im Anschluss, dass zähle ich als anderthalb und mit der Tochter je nach Entscheidung entweder etwas früher oder etwas später und alles passiert erst zum Ende des Spiels - also quasi im letzten Kapitel. In den ersten fünf oder sechs Kapiteln passiert außer leichten Andeutungen nichts. Und diese Actionszenen werden dann durch "Grainy Animations" auch noch empfindlich gestört - die Render haben eine ansprechende Qualität, die Animationen dagegen wurden in deutlich niedrigerer Auflösung produziert und stören dadurch mehr, ganz davon abgesehen, dass sie nur kurze sich wiederholende Loops sind. Warum bekommt das Spiel trotzdem ein Daumen hoch von mir? Bei den wenigen Szenen braucht es keine Galerie, sondern lediglich drei Savegames an der richtigen Stelle, von der ist das Fehlen der Galerie hinnehmbar, obwohl dadurch natürlich auch eine Chance verpasst wurde, die Modelle mal in anderen Umgebungen zu präsentieren (Stichwort Bonusgalerie). Mir hat an dem Spiel gefallen, dass die verwendeten Modelle recht ungewöhnlich gestaltet sind und nicht dem üblichen Schönheitsidealen entsprechen. Ich mochte sie auf den Vorschaubildern nicht, aber sie sind mir im Laufe der Geschichte ans Herz gewachsen. Die Geschichte und Erzählweise mit teilweise echten Videos (U-Bahn und Innenstadt) fand ich cool, auch dass quasi nicht gleich mit der Tür ins Haus gefallen wird und der Developer mit den Goodies bis zum Schluss wartet, fand ich gut, auch wenn ich wirklich auf die Inzest-Thematik verzichten kann. Man kann am Spiel erkennen, wie ambitioniert der Developer gewesen ist, vielleicht wollte er auch ein bisschen zu viel - am Anfang findet man ein paar Dialog-Fehler, wo die Aussagen dem falschen Sprecher zu geordnet scheinen. Von der Spielzeit her ist es zu kurz, für den Preis ist eigentlich zu wenig Austausch von Körperflüssigkeiten vorhanden, dazu diese blöde Inzest-Problematik, der MC sieht aus wie eine wandelnde Leiche, und doch kann ich nicht umhin, das Spielerlebnis selbst als positiv zu bewerten. Ich sehe hier durchaus Potential für zukünftige Projekte des Entwicklers. Wie gesagt, ich bin zwiegespalten...

Story is decent, though it gets very rushed in the end, 95% of the game you play at a slow pace, you get used to it and then bamn... - so many events, characters and all of this during a short period of time, it's just overwhelming. Writing definitely could have been better, but not the worst. Characters are very well written, their personalities are good, their looks are good. Especially Xiomara, you can sink in her eyes. In general game is decent, totally worth playing.
