Holiday with Gwen

I was a playtester for this game and provided feedback during development and got a free key out of it. So take my review with a grain of salt. I recommend this game if you've been a fan of Gastronomic Games for the past 4 years and enjoy the romantic component of Matthew's games - dating, relationships, jealously, all that good stuff. The game is now powered by RenPy, which fits the theme well, as old RPG Maker didn't age well and got little to offer this kind of games to begin with. Holiday with Gwen proves you don't need attributes, stats or concepts like "city prosperity" or "police suspicion" for a nice game. Compared to the other SoR and Pegasus games, this one has less emphasis on action and story, and instead focuses on spending quality time with your significant other, with maybe a bit of fun on the side. And a relaxing kind of game with little drama is exactly what we all need in 2022. As for criticisms, I don't recommend this game if you're looking for a level of sexual content akin to Being a ♥♥♥, College Kings or FreshWomen, as even though the renders are quite nice and fan service is a thing, on the whole things are pretty tame here by design, so you might find detail and quality underwhelming. In addition, even though you can make different choices, most of them boil down to interacting with Gwen romantically... or not. In the latter case, you will just end up missing out on a lot of content, and second girl Serenity is really more of an episodic appearance and doesn't get enough screentime. TL;DR Get it you like relaxed visual novels with dating and romance, and especially if you're fan of Gwen from Snares of Ruin franchise.. who isn't?

Richtig mies gezeichnete Bilder und grauenhafte Animationen. Die Geschichte ist richtig billig, wie aus einem Groschenroman.

[h1]보1지 보여줌 꼭1지 보여줌 여 조수랑 지중해에서 휴가겸 조사를 하면서 불법조직 적발하는 서양산 3D 비쥬얼노벨[/h1] 내가 이걸 24년 겨울세일에 1300원 주고 샀는데 그래도 돈 아까움. 내용이 상당히 긴 편이고 선택지가 아주 많이 나오나 기본적으로는 일방 통행형 스토리고 H씬의 비중이 아주 적은편에 들어감. 그리고 CG 품질 경우 광고페이지에 나오는것과 동일하거나 품질이 떨어짐. 안 꼴리더라. 등장하는 여자 주인공 모델링이 약간 이상하기도 하며 (특히 얼굴) 캐릭터 표정변화가 많지 않다는것 또한 안 꼴리는데 일조했음. 성우연기가 있기는 한데 주요 H씬에서 신음소리만 잠깐내는걸로 끝나며.. 종류가 몇개 안되서 다 비슷비슷하다는 생각밖에 안들더라. 아니 그냥 똑같은 심음소리가 반복된다는 느낌이 듬. 별로임. 도전과제는 있는데 갤러리는 없음. 결론은 딱히 이걸 살 필요는 없다는 것. 볼품없다. Visual novel where you try to uncover a conspiracy. Along the way, you can get closer to your partner Gwen. Or someone else. Decent enough.

I played it after completing all three Snares of Ruin games. Even if it's totally different, I liked this game too, good story and convos. BUT [b]Gwen is an elf[/b] and in this game she's portrayed as a human. I didn't like that. Also, the renders are kind of amateurish, but this dev used RPG maker for previous games, so I guess he will need more time to adjust to Renpy and make good renders with DAZ3D assets.

Ja en jättebra VN, värd varenda öre den kostade, vilket inte var så mycket. Gwen är en söt, sensuell kvinna, som du kan vara kär i och få som själsfrände, du behöver inte vara det, allt har med dina svar att göra. Historien är spännande och agent liknande. med många inblandade som du måste välja om du ska lita på eller ej.. Inget snusk i denna VN, men mycket romans, eftersom jag gillade historien, Gwen och omgivningarna, så ger jag sju lägereldar av fem möjliga, önskar allt gott till författaren och illustratören och som sagt denna VN är väl värt sina pengar..

You are a couple that's more or less on a business trip and you're both working from the start of the story line. There is some animation but it needs work and/or would of been better just to of not included it. Granted I only played for about 30 mins but I got bored kinda fast. This is on the cheap side but I can't say it was worth the money at this time.

This is ok game. I think. Very short but quite cheap.

This visual novel is a total trip. A holiday in fact. With Gwen. The main characters are likeable and reasonably well written. Sure the romantic sentiments are often expressed rather awkwardly, and yes occasionally the dialogue sounds a little like it's from Madame Web, but the tone is light and it's all in good fun. The scenario is a heady mix of espionage, romance, comedy and just a touch of surrealism. Oh yeah and I guess there's some eroticism, but it's handled pretty tastefully and shouldn't make you feel too ashamed of yourself. Or perhaps you can't feel shame any more, because you've been playing so many AVNs? The characters are mostly well rendered, although many of them look a little dead around the eyes. Gwen herself has a bit of a glassy stare, which takes a little getting used to, but she's a sweet girl and very forgivable. Some of the outdoor scenes have frankly nonsensical geometry, and many of the indoor scenes have similarly weird layouts and strange decor. It will occasionally feel like you've found yourself in the Backrooms, but for the most part, the assets used are congruous and make sense within the context of the story, This dude's work is frequently on sale and I've picked up quite a few of his other games so will likely get round to playing those... some day? Sick of being stuck indoors trapped in your boring friendless loveless life? Then a Holiday with Gwen might just be the antidote for a couple of hours. She'll make you forget yourself, think you are someone else, someone good. Yeah.
