A game fully of satisfying eureka moments. Really creative puzzle design which impressively doesn't retread too much of what was covered in the first game. Story is inscrutable in English though.
Played this game with a friend. It's kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but it's also fun. Lots of clever additions over the first game, none of the puzzles felt redundant. We did feel like this game forced us to make much bigger logic leaps more often, and so we ended up needing to use the guides much more often. Unfortunately, the detailed walkthroughs only have Japanese captions, but because we can both read it, it was fine. It should still be fully playable for English speakers, but they may sometimes be completely lost on the logic for certain puzzles because of this, or because of the overly-literal level name translations at certain points.
Much better than the second one, puts more importance on printing out the building plans and uses them in more interesting ways. just make sure you have 25 pages to print
It's more Madorica Real Estate, and it's still just as good. One major difference from 1 is that the spells are no longer words of letters you type on the board. Instead, they utilize joystick more; the buttons are generally arrow keys and ABXY. The good thing is, now they can make use of some puzzles involving rotations of the arrow keys. The bad thing, the spells now make no sense and are a bit hard to type. I think it's still worth it just the same. Again, the price tag is steep, so try to look for it on sale if you can.
Highly recommended. This is an unique puzzle game that uses printed floor plans as both the question and answer to the puzzles. Compared to the first game, the input uses keypads + ABXY instead of alphabets, allowing more creative representations of the input. And IMO, the puzzles are more approachable now. Depending on the stage, you may need to cut, fold, color, or even layer the floor plans to solve the puzzle. I recommend using pencils instead of pens, because the later puzzles get more complicated and it's wasteful to keep printing new floor plans. This game is made for console first, so be warned that the control scheme for keyboard is atrocious. I suggest using a controller and use Steam input to re-map the bindings to suit your preference.
If you are a fan of the first one, definitely a must buy. The puzzles have been adapted for controller layouts so no more funny words, however the core gameplay remains the same. This sequel requires much more manipulation with the floor plans than the previous entry which sometimes can be a bit tedious but overall, still enjoyable. I would love another game in the franchise. No many like it, and I love having the floor plans to supplement the gameplay.
