About
EARLY ACCESS: Made Marion has been released in Early Access! Currently Robin Hood, Little John, and Will, the Scarlet Blade's routes are available. Our next route will be Meissa, scheduled for 2026.
What do you do when your best isn't good enough?
Lady Marion of Glastonbury is going to have to figure that out, and fast. Removed from her position of power and thrust into an unwanted arranged marriage, she finds herself careening through Sherwood Forest toward the troubled town of Nottingham.
Released from the confines of her previous life, who will Marion become? A freedom fighter? A knight-at-arms? A reluctant spy? Will she help create peace in Nottingham or hasten the coming confrontation between the strict Sheriff and the rebel Robin Hood?
And will a woman who resisted marriage end up finding love where she least expects it?
Find out when you're... Made Marion.
Made Marion is an otome visual novel - a romantic story primarily aimed at women, though of course all genders are welcome to play! It's inspired by the tales of Robin Hood, but with many of its own twists.
Welcome to Avalon, an alternate-world Medieval kingdom in which humanity exists in a sometimes-uneasy balance with the mystical fae folk. Avalon's hero-king Richard has gone missing, the nation is deep in debt from a recent war, and the commoners are agitating for more representation in government.
Step into the shoes of the proud young noblewoman Marion and guide her adventure in a richly-detailed fantasy world thick with political machinations and mystical intrigue. Decide who to trust and who to love. Can Marion make the right choices to save Nottingham from a dire fate?
Gorgeous Graphics with a Celtic Flair: Enjoy our beautiful, expressive characters and a unique world inspired by a variety of Northern European cultures. Celtic design elements are threaded through our character and background designs.
Proactive Heroine: Her name is in the game's title for a reason! Marion isn't just along for the ride; she drives the plot forward in many ways and has her own goals and desires.
One Big Choice, Two Different Worlds: After the game's prologue, you'll make a big choice that either sends you to Sherwood Forest or the city of Nottingham. Each side has a different cast to romance, and the two sides have a different feeling to them. Sherwood is a swashbuckling action-adventure, while Nottingham has more political intrigue and spy hijinks.
Role-Playing Choices: Instead of using a traditional affection meter, you'll be making major role-playing choices in each route that lead to two possible happy endings. Choose to be clever or straightforward with the flirtatious Robin. Make idealistic or pragmatic choices with Geoffrey and Gui. It's up to you, and you won't be punished with a bad end for your personality choices.
Meaningful Bad Ends: Our bad endings are designed to be logical and interesting, giving hints about the wider story and world or showing a different side of the game's characters. They're also easily reversed, as they come from one-off choices.]
Made for Adults: We're a sex-positive, LGBT-friendly otome game aimed at adult readers, with an over-18 cast. We aim to be mature without being "edgy" and to portray sex as a part of the characters' developing relationships.

Robin of Locksley: A deposed lord who is leading a rebellion against the autocratic Lord Geoffrey of Nottingham. A strong and capable leader with a tendency to hide his true feelings behind a wall of jocularity.
John: Robin's second-in-command, a gentle giant of a man battling inner demons from his tragic past.
Will, the Scarlet Blade: John's half-brother, a daredevil swordsman with several large chips on his shoulder.
Lord Geoffrey: Known locally by the derogatory nickname of "The Sheriff," this stern lord is determined to rule by law, even if the law entails some very onerous taxes. Can Marion uncover the reasons behind his harsh policies?
Meissa: A mysterious, mischievous sage from an enemy land. Kind and compassionate, they harbor a dangerous secret.
Alanna Dale: A merry bard in Geoffrey's court. Easy to fall in love with but difficult to truly know, she guards herself with layers of lies.
Gui la Londe: A gorgeous, graceful chevalier who is a confidant of Lord Geoffrey's despite their very different worldviews. He would like to recruit Marion for an important mission of behalf of the Crown.

Reviews
I initially played through the demo because I was curious about the quality of the writing, as well as the story and characters. I bought the game shortly after playing through the demo, I am happy to support this game and I look forward to all the future routes. The writing is wonderfully consistent, and I find the story familiar in all the best ways as well as new in enticingly interesting ways. I had a lot of fun with Robin's two route's and thoroughly enjoyed the differences between the two. Can't wait for more Sherwood and Nottingham shenanigans and intrigue!
a gripping story lovely graphics music and sound effects hope for more visual novels from this company
I became aware of Made Marion sometime in early 2024, after Early Release had started, but only with Robin's route available. I kept checking back ever so often, dithering, on whether it would be worth getting it in early access, especially at this juncture, given that my preference is for the Nottingham routes (and I really want to play Geoffrey's, which will be the last one to be released; although really, really, I want to play Tuck's, which means waiting for the DLC
and tbh, I'd quite like there to be a King Richard route, and maybe I'm interpreting too much into the Light and Shadow DLC title, where Layton is obviously Shadow and who would be more Light than the King, but I would absolutely adore it, if he also became a romanceable character somehow.
and thus probably 2029 or 2030?) So what am I trying to say with all of this? I think simply:
If you think that you might enjoy this game, if you played the demo and liked it, but haven't bought it because you're waiting on other routes... get it anyways, because it is so worth it!!
When I bought the game in late April, I thought to myself, ok, I'll play the route that appeals to me the most so far (one of Johns,
although had I known how much more Layton & Geoffrey I'd find in Robin's route, I probably would've started with that xD
) and then space the other ones + a re-run to get the alternative ending for that character (& factoring in that there's approximately 1 new route released every year) out to maybe 1 every 6 months or so, to not get too bored of the overarching narrative and keep the pace going until all main routes are out and the DLC comes. Well dear reader, not so. At this point, I've gotten both of John's endings, one of Will's and one of Robin's (with each full run-through taking somewhere between 3-4 hours). Even despite the fact that they are all taking place within Sherwood and centre around the same part of the story + interlink with each other, they are substantially different, and certainly different enough that within the span of a week I wanted to play several of them. You learn different bits and bobs about both the world and the narrative with each and every one of them, and extrapolating from John's two different chapter 4's, the two different endings per character are very distinct. If you are wondering what the advertised centring Marion's decisions and giving her the power to drive the narrative means - for my very first run-through, I used > 40 save slots, for decision making alone (and then I lost count, because only the first 9 save slot pages are actually numbered), i.e. you do get to make lots of choices!
And even though I sometimes found it frustrating that the choice I would've personally picked at that point in time was barred to me, because I'd committed too much to a certain path to make that choice in the moment, I can appreciate the narrative idea of it no longer being congruent with the character narrative I'd built up with previous choices.
In general, the choices felt representative (as in, I'd probably have picked one of the two/three options even if I could've picked anything), which to me is always a huge bonus, because I don't enjoy being shoehorned into actions that I never, ever would've picked otherwise. I could certainly spend a lot more time gushing about this game, especially as the art is very gorgeous, and the accompanying music & soundtrack delightful and make the play experience so much more enjoyable, but I think the review as it stands probably already makes my very positive opinion clear enough.
tl;dr:
this game is worth every penny, even as it currently is in early-access. Even routes of characters I'd never thought I'd want to romance are enjoyable to play, and I can't wait for the further routes to be released over the next few years. 8.5/10 for the moment, but that might go up as I get to play around in Nottingham ;)
This is a great game! The story is really detailed and well plotted, and the characters are very interesting. There's many meaningful choices to make that lead to different endings. The art is beautiful and the music is delightful. I also liked the extras, such as the pictures of special scenes and the option to listen to the game's music.
art style is amazing and the world building is fantastic for this kind of game. i also love the info glossary that you can read when it's mentioned. havn't seen that before. keep up the fantastic work
I really like the art, i played Robin's route and currently playing Will's and they are great
mmmmmmmm sexy men game needs way more attention
Really, really enjoying this one. The art and music elevate it. I stalled for awhile because the price was high for early access but the production value justifies the $$. Looking forward to the developer getting more routes done.
The current routes, Robin and Will were interesting. There is of overlap due to the overarching storyline, but it does look like the plot points and scenes vary. It's also interesting that there are what, 2 happy endings per route. That's fun. The art is beautiful, the backgrounds are charming (mostly), the music fits the vibe of the story. I am looking forward to the day Made Marion is fully released. Marion makes a major decision in the prologue, which determines her future and potential romance options. I really want to see how the story goes when Marion can choose differently. I am dying of anticipation, I want at least one of the visual novels I've been looking forward to fully releasing or update to do that. And so the wait continues. I'm looking forward to so good news. Maybe tomorrow. Someday soon I hope.
