About
EARLY ACCESS: Made Marion has been released in Early Access! Currently Robin Hood, Little John, and Will, the Scarlet Blade's routes are available. Our next route will be Meissa, scheduled for 2026.
What do you do when your best isn't good enough?
Lady Marion of Glastonbury is going to have to figure that out, and fast. Removed from her position of power and thrust into an unwanted arranged marriage, she finds herself careening through Sherwood Forest toward the troubled town of Nottingham.
Released from the confines of her previous life, who will Marion become? A freedom fighter? A knight-at-arms? A reluctant spy? Will she help create peace in Nottingham or hasten the coming confrontation between the strict Sheriff and the rebel Robin Hood?
And will a woman who resisted marriage end up finding love where she least expects it?
Find out when you're... Made Marion.
Made Marion is an otome visual novel - a romantic story primarily aimed at women, though of course all genders are welcome to play! It's inspired by the tales of Robin Hood, but with many of its own twists.
Welcome to Avalon, an alternate-world Medieval kingdom in which humanity exists in a sometimes-uneasy balance with the mystical fae folk. Avalon's hero-king Richard has gone missing, the nation is deep in debt from a recent war, and the commoners are agitating for more representation in government.
Step into the shoes of the proud young noblewoman Marion and guide her adventure in a richly-detailed fantasy world thick with political machinations and mystical intrigue. Decide who to trust and who to love. Can Marion make the right choices to save Nottingham from a dire fate?
Gorgeous Graphics with a Celtic Flair: Enjoy our beautiful, expressive characters and a unique world inspired by a variety of Northern European cultures. Celtic design elements are threaded through our character and background designs.
Proactive Heroine: Her name is in the game's title for a reason! Marion isn't just along for the ride; she drives the plot forward in many ways and has her own goals and desires.
One Big Choice, Two Different Worlds: After the game's prologue, you'll make a big choice that either sends you to Sherwood Forest or the city of Nottingham. Each side has a different cast to romance, and the two sides have a different feeling to them. Sherwood is a swashbuckling action-adventure, while Nottingham has more political intrigue and spy hijinks.
Role-Playing Choices: Instead of using a traditional affection meter, you'll be making major role-playing choices in each route that lead to two possible happy endings. Choose to be clever or straightforward with the flirtatious Robin. Make idealistic or pragmatic choices with Geoffrey and Gui. It's up to you, and you won't be punished with a bad end for your personality choices.
Meaningful Bad Ends: Our bad endings are designed to be logical and interesting, giving hints about the wider story and world or showing a different side of the game's characters. They're also easily reversed, as they come from one-off choices.]
Made for Adults: We're a sex-positive, LGBT-friendly otome game aimed at adult readers, with an over-18 cast. We aim to be mature without being "edgy" and to portray sex as a part of the characters' developing relationships.

Robin of Locksley: A deposed lord who is leading a rebellion against the autocratic Lord Geoffrey of Nottingham. A strong and capable leader with a tendency to hide his true feelings behind a wall of jocularity.
John: Robin's second-in-command, a gentle giant of a man battling inner demons from his tragic past.
Will, the Scarlet Blade: John's half-brother, a daredevil swordsman with several large chips on his shoulder.
Lord Geoffrey: Known locally by the derogatory nickname of "The Sheriff," this stern lord is determined to rule by law, even if the law entails some very onerous taxes. Can Marion uncover the reasons behind his harsh policies?
Meissa: A mysterious, mischievous sage from an enemy land. Kind and compassionate, they harbor a dangerous secret.
Alanna Dale: A merry bard in Geoffrey's court. Easy to fall in love with but difficult to truly know, she guards herself with layers of lies.
Gui la Londe: A gorgeous, graceful chevalier who is a confidant of Lord Geoffrey's despite their very different worldviews. He would like to recruit Marion for an important mission of behalf of the Crown.

Reviews
I'm probably going to update this review many times over as I continue to play the game, but since I've played the Common Route for Sherwood, and am in the Common Route for Nottingham, I just feel like I HAVE to say something about how amazing the Nottingham Common Route is. I guess because I knew so much of the Robin Hood legends already, I wasn't too surprised or drawn in by the Sherwood Common Route, but the Nottingham side is DELECTABLE. I find myself incredibly curious about the going-ons, and so extremely excited to get to do Geoffrey's route!!! I know it's the last one, and I will probably be waiting forever with baited breath, but his character introduction is so good, the idea that I can be a spy and all the political intrigue, it's just *MWAH* perfection. I'm so excited. I'm barely into chapter 2 of the Nottingham Common Route and I'm already so hyped! I can't wait for more! ~~~ I just finished the first chapter of Robin's route, and it is really phenomenal. I love the characterisation, and the more we get to read of Marion, the more I love her. I'm also really enjoying the queering of gender roles in Marion's behaviour and values, and how she's exploring that more with more time in this safer space. And Robin, who I immediately didn't like too much, is growing on me quite a bit. I'm loving their plot here! Ahh, it's just so good! Also, the little animations are awesome, the music is so perfect and that, coupled with the sound effects, make for a ore immersing experience than I expected, I'm really enjoying it. And, I don't know if it even needs to be said because it feels so obvious, but the art is sooooo beautiful. It's just gorgeous. I'm appreciating how the artists play with light and shadow, especially since light and shadow are so highlighted in the writing and worldbuilding. It's so good. Have I mentioned that it's good? It's SO GOOD! ~~~ Sidenote: Can I just say how awesome the game overs are so far? The one I found in Robin's first chapter had me shrieking, I was so flabbergasted, BUT it was also such a fantastic way of giving worldbuilding context! I don't know that I've ever been so happy to make a choice that ended up ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up so badly!
Made Marion has become one of my all time favorite visual novel games to date! I absolutely love the mix of romance and fantasy elements in the game, which makes me feel like I've picked up a brand new romantasy novel. The story paths currently released so far (Robin and Will) are written so well and I love the banter and heartfelt moments between Marion and all of the characters in this game. This game also has some spicy/descriptive/suggestive scenes that might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I highly enjoyed reading those moments! In addition, I love how your choices can effect the game, or if you accidentally choose the wrong choice, you may need a second chance! Also, since I missed one of the gallery images during my first play through, I cannot wait to replay these stories again and see how my choices effect the story! The game's art is absolutely beautiful, especially the in-game art that can be found in the gallery after progressing through the story, the detail is perfect and it portrays these characters perfectly. Overall, I cannot wait for more stories to be released, especially Lord Geoffrey and Gui la Londe's stories in the Nottingham's route! For anyone who loves otome/visual novel games, I highly recommend checking out Made Marion, you will not be disappointed!
I love this game. My only complaint is how slow the updates are coming out, but I can't really complain too much about that because the creator is giving regular updates and I know that if everything had been released at once, I would have played my favorite routes and stopped. This way I played Will's route, which is not a character I would have initially chosen, and fell absolutely in love. So now I will play every single route as soon as it's released. I love the skip feature for replaying the prologue/first chapter that I've already played before. It makes exploring different options much easier. I love the fact that even in the romance routes there's multiple ways to act and they affect things. I really fricking want Layton's path to open.
0/10 can't pursue Tuck against literally everyone's better judgement
festival do Solstício
retorno do rei
no final. ;/ De qualquer forma, é um bom jogo e me surpreendeu bastante. Gostei muito da personalidade da Marion e ela já se tornou minha heroína. <3 Outra coisa que também me chateou foi a
morte do Layton
, apesar dos pesares. Poxa.
Loved it! Specially how you can see different events unfold from differents perspective depending on the character you choose to romance.
I've had my eye on this game for a while. When I first saw it I was put off by just one route (Robin) being available, but seeing John/Will's routes released I went ahead and got it. So far Will is my absolute favorite and Robin my least. I'm stupid excited for literally all the rest. Layton's being last to release makes sense but doesn't mean I won't pout about it. The main choices you're making in this game are the love interest and which of the two route themes you want to pursue. The other choices tend to be flavor or dead end choices. While I actually wasn't a fan of those initially, after completing more routes they started connecting some plot-dots for me and growing on me. From the context of more choices it can feel limiting, but having Marion as an actual character instead of a silent blank slate makes up for it to me. There's a lot more plot happening alongside the romance that I also really appreciate. And the romance routes themselves are heavier on the communication side of things which was a breath of fresh air compared to some others I've tried. I understand people who feel this is too high a price for unfinished content. Reading through the dev updates and breakdown of the process and decisions, I personally don't mind supporting the endeavor especially after the recent updates. Plus I just really enjoy the vibe and story that's building up. Certainly helps that the milestone route CGs and overall character designs are consistently lovely without being overly sexualized with 16 pack abs and shoulder boulders. (My only dislike I will say are the explicit CGs because they're a different art style and I really prefer the main game's art style.)
Superb art. I liked the relationships between the characters themselves and between them and Marion. None of the characters so far felt juvenile (taking into consideration their ages and circumstances), the writing is solid.
I've been waiting for Will's route for quite some time now but I can now say wholeheartedly that it was worth the wait. It was delightful, the illustrations were beautiful (the only one not to my taste was the one from the spicy scene- Will's face looked a bit off to me, like he was a completely different man), the sprites themselves are on a whole different level of stunning, almost every character looks attractive. I enjoyed the soundtrack of the game and the special effects. Writing wise this whole visual novel screams quality, my only complaint (not really even a complaint, more of a preference) is that I expected Will's route to be a bit slower when it came to the flirting. Maybe I am just a sucker for slow burns but I feel like Will got over his unwillingness to help out Marion quite fast and they solved their differences in like two conversations or three (maybe I just picked the right options to not antagonise him further). Maybe Geoffrey's route will be more to my tastes in slow burns and enemies to lovers. Will's was more like a rivals to lovers which is quite fun. I loved the "Boooooks" scene, one of the moments that made me laugh since I knew I would've fallen for Will's bribe. i also started Robin's route and I am halfway through and enjoying it quite a bit! Good luck to the developer in their journey to finish up all the other routes. I am waiting eagerly for them (especially Geoffrey, Gui and the Layton DLC). I just hope you guys don't run out of the kickstarter funds considering that it is taking far longer to finish the game than you expected. I visit your tumblr account often to check for updates and the posts there always light up my day.
I got to play this as part of the early access via being a Kickstarter supporter. I absolutely love Robin <3 and the writing and world building is fantastic. One thing that really stood out to me is the friendships Marion develops with the rest of the cast and how even if she is in a romance with one guy, she still develops her relationships with others - like Tuck. I really appreciated that the romance did not cancel out other relationships. The art for this game is gorgeous and there were many times I laughed out loud. I think my favorite story moments involved Robin and Marion training together. Also, great sexual tension in the writing :D My only suggestion would be to make the steamy moments a bit more descriptive and the art accompanying those scenes a bit more detailed. Overall a great experience and a visual novel I recommend to anyone who likes great stories, romance, strong female protagonists, magic, the Robin Hood story, and/or merry bands teaming up against injustice.
