Highly customizable mechs with only a small restriction. Basic pre-made parts are easily replaceable but other detailed customisation require set skills to be well utilised. The mechs default frame allowed players to have a rough guide to the overall proportions of the mech, but can also become a limitation to the degree of customisation. The combat system is easy to operate with minor attack lock-on issues when using some weapons. The resources obtained from each level is generous and is also increased depending on the battle difficulty chosen pre-battle. Unfortunately, the resources are obtained from enemy drop and can only be picked up a few seconds after they have dropped from defeated enemies, this can cause some resource left behind or missed when using a fast moving combat style. The upgrade and skill tree is well laid out but require an acceptable amount of grinding if some battles were to be passed with ease. The upgrade and skill tree also promotes a wide variety of combat styles, from highly armoured or shielded tanks to high damaged glass cannons, mix and matching different skill modules can achieve almost any play style. Once a skill module is unlocked, it can be applied to all mechs within the same save file. However, different skill modules require their own sets of resources, if some mechs are designed with a different play style than others, an extra amount of resources will be required to be ground. Lastly, the story and context is mainly built on the conversation between characters and the male main character, the story may sometimes be considered long and boring to some, but it provides context and some explanation to every mission/battle. Sometimes, the story may be played mid battle, becoming a distraction to the intense fight or missed due to the focus to the battle. In summery, I highly recommend this game to any mech/anime lovers with a dream to build their own mechs as well as anyone looking for a good third person mech battle game. For those wishing to build a highly customised mech, i suggest joining the discord servers and/or look at Steam Community Hub for the amazing creations already created by the community to get a rough idea of what is possible. As for those combat enthusiast, I suggest trying out the game's free demo to determine if this game suits you.
