To preface, I have not actually complete the games story yet or unlocked every piece. That being said, I do really enjoy this game despite it unfortunately being seemingly abandoned by its developers (I don't know what goes on in the Discord, but from what I've heard it's not much). If you are looking for an in depth story game that makes you think, unfortunately you probably won't get that here. The story is pretty basic and more so just a plot device to get you from point A to point B rather than an actual narrative. If you want a heavy story while blowing things up in a giant robot, play Armored Core 6 (play Armored Core 6 anyways). If you've already played Armored Core 6, play it again. Gameplay wise this game also leaves quite a bit to be desired. Some of the controls, at least by default, are real head scratchers. The combat itself is... fine, I guess. You shoot before you auto lock onto enemies, causing you to randomly shoot way off into the distance before locking on. A lot of ranged weapons feel especially weak unless you fully lean into them with your build. You'll probably end up falling into a melee build unless you're really headstrong about using ranged weapons, but unfortunately the melee combat is pretty boring. M1 spam and blocking with your shield (Assuming you equipped it. I didn't for the first 10 or so hours. Oops.) But where this game really shines is in its customization. Sweet baby Jesus this game might have one of the most in-depth customization systems I have ever seen in a video game, not just in a mecha game. The amount of customizing you can do with color, material, accessories, object manipulating, scaling, moving and adding parts is absurd. You can have up to 24 different weapons on one robot frame at once, which just seems almost excessive. Not to mention that each weapon can be customized to nearly the same degree as each of your body pieces. Did I mention this game over THIRTY customizable body segments, including asymmetrical hands, forearms, biceps, shoulders, feet, shins, thighs and 8 different waist pieces? Not to mention the game gives you 32 different save slots for your mechs, which each can have their own weapons unique to that file. I have seen some ludicrous creations come from this game, and it just makes me all the more sad that it was abandoned so early into its lifespan. TLDR; If you like mechas, stick around. If you want to play a mecha with engaging gameplay and a deep story, maybe not this one. But if you want a mecha game that lets you play in a sandbox and design your dream destruction robot, this game might be perfect for you. Though there is a hefty amount of grinding to unlock each piece.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

SO GOOD
ein empelendes spiel
This game is definitely worth the money, but that's in my perspective, you should absolutely try the demo first. CUSTOMIZATION: The customization is absolute, it feels limitless, and unlocking these parts are mostly rewarding. COMBAT: The combat is fun, it's not amazing or godly tier-wise, but if you learn the feel of things and get a decent build for the level, it's fun. LEVELS: Levels have some variety, I'm not ecstatic about the variety in levels, but It's definitely good compared to the "low bar" of gaming; this is helped with the divergence of playable levels in trees. (e.g. "STORY", or "HUNT") DIFFICULTY: It does feel like difficulty spikes somewhat, with several moments where I have to rethink my build, but this just means you have to think a tad bit with this game. ONLINE PLAY: Online play is a different story. I don't actually know how it goes down in the lobbies, but that's because not many people play it, so it's just how socially "dead" games work. I believe that if the multiplayer games are fairly similar to the main levels, it could be fun. But, I admit that I've never used multiplayer because of the lack of players. CONCLUSION: Overall, I give this game a very positive view, but like I said earlier, you should absolutely try the demo first, so you don't go in absolutely blind. I hope this helps.
This will be my first review I've put on steam, so if it seems a bit odd I apologize. Please note, this review was made around the release of 0.11 I want to say this first off, I enjoy creativity in games when it comes to "character creation" and seeing it moving and acting. M.A.S.S. Builder scratched an itch pretty well for that while giving me that rewarding feeling of me having to actually MAKE the design myself with the main body parts acting as good foundations for the designs. One particular complaint on the creation side might be the lack of leg types or the lack of ability to create your own leg types, as I'm used to mech games allowing you to have things like reverse joint legs, quad legs, and other types you might see in other mech games. (Perhaps I've been spoiled by games such as Chromehounds, Armored Core, Mechassault and similar.) However despite the quite honestly simplistic complaint I might have on leg selection or similar, I usually can simply build my way around it, or make something close enough to fit the design I have in mind. I can spend hours or even days just hopping on, building, hopping off, returning, redesigning and refining until I find it perfect. The mirror mode is a wonderful system on there and the quick manipulation of parts by rotation by axis to get it closer to what you want or similar is genuinely extremely helpful too. The core modification system for changing your mech's stats, functions, elemental benefits, special traits, flight speed, and so on is also quite honestly amazing. It's more in depth than a lot of mech games I have personally bumped into and it's refreshing as far as mech games go. Atop this, changing the mech's appearance, and making those stats make sense in terms of design choices is up to me rather than the armor parts. So I tend to get all the form and function at the same time. When it comes to the mech's movement, things feel very... stiff, it's not horribly so, but for a mech that is running doing spins and jumps and other little flares of movement with the melee attacks, the main movement feels like it could be better. But again, I don't consider it horrible either. Onto combat, the combat itself "Exists". It's not particularly amazing or particularly horrible. It's somewhat difficult for me to exactly describe it, it feels like there is enough going on to keep me from falling asleep and new encounters with certain bosses leave me needing to actually being alert. But for the most part I will often find myself sort of having to turn on high energy music in the background to help push for certain encounters so i don't just get bored as it sort of is "dull" at times. I don't believe this game needs to try and be the best in combat there ever was kind of ideal. But maybe the types of enemies could receive a light touch up to improve how they handle combat movement of enemies and your M.A.S.S., and maybe a better touch up on the soundtrack later. Lastly, the amount of multiplayer levels is very small, as multiplayer is separated entirely from the main campaign. It would be nice to have a multiplayer exclusive campaign that was it's own story or perhaps a progressive set of arenas with unlockable rewards on the side rather than effectively two or three arenas. However looking at the game as it is now, and the amount of work still very likely to go, I would rather feel it's a wiser choice for me not to worry and simply leave multiplayer alone for a long while until the single player and all the other functions of the game are improved to a substantial enough degree where the game feels close enough to "Whole" by the dev's standards. I understand fully that this is early access, the game is incomplete. I rather give more or less critique where I can fairly in my review. With all the customization and modifications that you can make to your mech. I can see where the game really shines, in it's building and modification systems for the mechs including the stats, perks, armor, and so on. It's understandable where other things might suffer in detail or quality in the process in order to focus on others. I understand also that the coding of games is like a minefield, one fix or change can create a whole host of other issues. So it makes sense a game like this has taken so long to work on. Especially since it came out in 2019 which 2019 and 2020 were certainly harsh years for everyone. I honestly am eager to see where this game goes and how it improves. And honestly, this game while not perfect, is quite impressive for what it is. Thank you all at Vermillion Digital for working on this and I hope to see what new things come to be in M.A.S.S. Builder.
Melee feels like ♥♥♥♥
Highly customizable mechs with only a small restriction. Basic pre-made parts are easily replaceable but other detailed customisation require set skills to be well utilised. The mechs default frame allowed players to have a rough guide to the overall proportions of the mech, but can also become a limitation to the degree of customisation. The combat system is easy to operate with minor attack lock-on issues when using some weapons. The resources obtained from each level is generous and is also increased depending on the battle difficulty chosen pre-battle. Unfortunately, the resources are obtained from enemy drop and can only be picked up a few seconds after they have dropped from defeated enemies, this can cause some resource left behind or missed when using a fast moving combat style. The upgrade and skill tree is well laid out but require an acceptable amount of grinding if some battles were to be passed with ease. The upgrade and skill tree also promotes a wide variety of combat styles, from highly armoured or shielded tanks to high damaged glass cannons, mix and matching different skill modules can achieve almost any play style. Once a skill module is unlocked, it can be applied to all mechs within the same save file. However, different skill modules require their own sets of resources, if some mechs are designed with a different play style than others, an extra amount of resources will be required to be ground. Lastly, the story and context is mainly built on the conversation between characters and the male main character, the story may sometimes be considered long and boring to some, but it provides context and some explanation to every mission/battle. Sometimes, the story may be played mid battle, becoming a distraction to the intense fight or missed due to the focus to the battle. In summery, I highly recommend this game to any mech/anime lovers with a dream to build their own mechs as well as anyone looking for a good third person mech battle game. For those wishing to build a highly customised mech, i suggest joining the discord servers and/or look at Steam Community Hub for the amazing creations already created by the community to get a rough idea of what is possible. As for those combat enthusiast, I suggest trying out the game's free demo to determine if this game suits you.
TLDR: i cannot recommend this game. keep looking for another Mech game unless you are a masochist. this game isn't beginner friendly nor very fun and quite repetitive. the designing of mechs and the weapons can be Ok yet is not intuitive, nor as accessible as say mechwarrior or armored core. to unlock parts to build your dream mech, be prepared to grind and suffer (and not in a good way). THE BAD: #1- The targeting and aiming mechanics are absolute ASS. locking an enemy does not always work, the camera behaves odd and jumps around especially when trying to manually aim. likewise shots/melee strikes do not always go where you want them to go and there is little you can do to change this behaviour. even the auto aim/lock function misses a majority of the time regardless of accuracy stats and such. #2- movement feels very clunky and slow to respond, actions once started MUST finish and cannot be interrupted except for say a % bar when disarming EMP mine or scanning some other objective. #3- the above two combined makes combat more frustrating then enjoyable. #4- on top of the three above complaints the ai is rather simplistic/braindead and to compensate for that they implemented swarm tactics, teleportation, INSANE HP pools and too many BULLSH*T instant hit attacks you cannot avoid. bosses are absolute bullet sponges and attacks unavoidable especially since MANY are not telegraphed well a lot of the time, the hitbox seems wonky and their recharge time is low enough you can't really run from various such creatures either. especiallyt bosses with goons abuse this (add invulnerabillity shenanigans and its nap time for the player 9/10 times). your first difficulty spike will be mission 5 and then another at steep one at 6. the first Allied NPC in mission 5 is as such also as useless as the enemies as they cannot aim, nor do damage for the life of them, do not think they will be of any use and it's best to ingore these. #5- the information within the game is... too random and many things when it comes to details or whatsomething does is not well explained. likewise in terms of what stat does what or why. #6- when tuning, components, Engines, OS's and Frames are mixed pretty damn randomly in a list and hover-over tooltips alongside clear lvl identifiers are pretty much non-existent. the exception being items named the same which may have a I, II, or III etc behind the name between subsequent upgrades, though name changes for higher tier component are frequent. so when you are a little down the techtree and have many things unlocked. good luck finding that higher lvl item in a sea of the lower levels since you cannot sort or find stuff properly. #7- the game is VERY grindy, has you repeat the same scenarios over and over again without any variety inside a mission. this is to allow you to unlock parts, money for said parts and resources for the techtree for upgrades... oh the techtree also uses money. #8- the control scheme for both Keyboard and gamepad are so-so... as if the game doesn't really know which direction it wants to go, console or pc there's some sidescroller elements, and therefore has settled for something inbetween. switching weapons feels weird, the scrollwheel is non existent and the amount of options to finetune controls like mouse sensitivty, which is non-existent, are limited. #9- within missions cutscenes are unskippable, have fun with that... after the xth time, they aren't so fun anymore. not that they are all that great to begin with the first time as the camera in various cutscenes doesn't behave all that nice. #10- the game tries to do many complex things while also trying to be "dumb" in an arcade style game sense and look simple enough to just play around with. it's not exactly working in this game's favour as you cannot be both complex and then simplify everything without clashing between styles. as such the game feels like early-acces or a tech demo project. #11- while there's different environments, gameplay basically always boils down to run in a circle and shoot/whack enemy within a small arena. at least for the first dozen missions. #12- doesn't look like there has been any major updates or attempts at improving this game since release despite feedback and suggestions from players. the only DLC also being a sountrack option. probably a "what you see is what you get", a product destined for the abandonware bin. #13- bipedal humanoid mechs only and the size is quite limited. it seems you are pretty much stuck with a flavour of grandpa gundam with your personal choice of acceptable spiky bits. especially early on not a lot of choice for round and smooth either, mostly sharp angles and blocky options though you do unlock rounder bits later on. #14- the player character is voiceless and not customisable, for the story that they are involved with, its a "he". not a bad thing per see, but with all the female NPC's thrown at you it does make you wonder... why? #15- all dialogue outside of in-mission is dry, expsosition dump, text based and needs to be clicked to progress... and it's a whole lot of interactions with character stickers per event like a rather poor visual novel instead of something more interactive, something to just listen to while you do stuff with your mech or maybe read and scroll at your leisure as a once and done page (can revisit in archive). not a fan. #16- can replenish ammunition of all types in the game by shooting mobs and grabbing the pickups, DOOM style. shields also recharge if you're not actively taking damage for a few seconds, but Health... oh no... no that's something sacred you cannot get back. Woe be upon you if your shield pool drops to 0 and there's a enemy nearby. armour does not do much my friend. #17- the story could be a cardboard cutout so dry and tasteless. it is VERY basic generic stuff that even makes many copy paste isekai manwha storylines interesting. #18- the balance between melee, guns, missiles and the various damage types are very.... odd and seems undercooked at best with debatable choice on dual wielding. there is also only small caliber bullet/projectiles, a sort of beam or missiles, no grenades, no mines, no cannons no exotics like thrown weapons or flamethrowers and "Area of effect" options, no dedicated railguns or shoulder beams/cannons. the closest to any sort of "powerful" giant beam you can get is the beam drone and it's kind of underwhelming. #19- while there is PVP.... just don't... there is no glory to be had, no satisfaction, no balance, no sense and no reason to consider it beyond maybe try it out for yolo reasons. #20- missing content and planned stuff from existing roadmaps, apparently after the 1.0 release the game pretty much "flopped" so to say and as such with the game not having received updates since, the game can feel unfinished in various areas. (also see point #12). #21- no steam workshop support, no achievements. The GOOD: #1- i want to like the game, there is a lot of potential and many ways this game could be expanded upon and improved. #2- Graphics are decent and the various designs are neat. #3- there is a lot of freedom and fun designing, a lot of options and parts to tinker with too and many things are cosmetic so feel free to just do whatever. weight for example is listed, but functionally does nothing as it is a scrapped feature. as such while the camera isn't all that cooperative/great the actual designing is good for what is there. #4- while GPU intensive the game runs rather well regardless of what is going on. #5- game is not too expensive. #6- game does support controllers. i could list the availability of there being a discord as both good and bad for a variety of reasons. i will keep trying this game for some longer and see how far i can push certain elements, though i'll probably drop it around the 40~60 hour mark if i even reach that seeing the repetitiveness.
Supper fun and chill or as go hard as you want its nice
excelente juego, facil de entender y jugar, las opciones de personalizacion son absurdamente buenas, recomendado 10/10
