Great level of customisation but, most parts do pretty much nothing and are completely cosmetic, the gameplay feels a little janky and slow, and without doing anything out of the ordinary there was a bug that let me buy upgrades at no cost which kills the progression that makes games like these fun. there was a lot of potential here and I want these devs to succeed but in the games state I see no reason to play this over any installment in the armoured core franchise. I followed this game from it's early acces days and am really heart broken to see it not living up to it's full potential.
After nearly 50 hours of play time i must say that the story is incredible, dare i say even better than Evangelion. I must preface this though. I have never watched EVA nor have i paid any attention to the story of mass builder. IDK mech cool i guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

TLDR: Sorry bud, best keep looking Unfortunately, as others mentioned this isn't a very fun game. For reference, I bought this hoping for a fun entry into Mech games. Combat is slow and awkward. PVE already got stale by the third group encounter. The camera will snap left and right of your mech depending on the direction you're strafing while you aim. If you like to typically go side to side while firing, it's a literal headache with no setting to change it.
The mech building part of this game is a lot of fun. Tons of parts to mix and match. Almost everything else about the game is utter trash. The servers barely function, the combat is unbalanced and repetitive, you need to grind an unreasonable amount to unlock all the parts for the mechs, and almost none of the mechanics are explained. If you really want a mech building game, you could do worse, but don't expect much more than that.

TL;DR - The greatest mech customization I have ever seen, leading into an overwhelmingly disappointing and stale combat system. Melee is quite bad. It is an entirely one-button combat system. Go in, swing a few times, and back out before they counter-hit. There are no combos, no special attacks, no ground-to-air transition hits, no defensive options at all, no dodge, no parry, and there's only a block if you have a one-handed weapon and bring a shield. It only reduces damage, not blocks it. Ranged does not fair much better. As you wrestle with Ocarina of Time's Z-Targeting, expect to spend an entire magazine to kill something, as enemies are spongy. Very spongy. Bosses are even worse. No idea if two-handed weapons do more damage than one-handed, but I used two-handed due to the massive amount of health they have after the first few missions. There's a difference between physical and energy damage. What that difference is, I do not know. The game never explained why you would use one over the other. Enemies have different elemental weaknesses, but the game also does not tell you what enemies you're going to be facing in a mission, so this is a useless mechanic unless you're replaying missions and happen to remember. Bosses are awful. Get ready to slog through the same mechanic 30 times. Slowly chipping away their health in the meantime. Don't bother killing the adds, because they are unlimited and a replacement will immediately spawn after you kill one, if you're ranged, they will respawn before you can even reload. It takes genuinely forever to make the slightest progress. First you have to break the bosses constant shield that constantly regenerates, then you're actually doing damage. If you went ranged, the first non-tutorial bosses is your hard-counter. It has a constant unbreakable shield that blocks ranged attacks. I went hard into melee, but the boss was still unbelievably annoying. You're going to have a terrible time either way. This game could be unstoppable. The best gundam game, the best armored core game, the best mech game, etc. It just needs a focused and targeted development strategy on the combat mechanics, some reworks, etc. It has a lot of potential, and the only reason this review is so long is because I want it to get there.

ABSOLUTE POGGERS GAME MAN, the only issue is how long updates come out and that THERE IS NO AXES IN GAME (at the time this review was written). the scale slider is also garbage, why does it have a cap, they should at least raise it
