Centuries ago, a primal magic surged from the earth's depths, fueling empires but twisting it's inhabitant and the world into corruption's grasp. Forests blackened, skies bled shadow, and rivers turned to poison.
But a less prevalent radiant energy was also born, and hidden within pure warriors, the Luminaries. Armed with the light, their goal is to reclaim the land, hurling back the blight.
Yet the Luminary's gift is double-edged, immortality that tempts the soul. Every 80 years, Luminaries must yield their light to a successor, or risk eternal decay. Defiant ones hoard it, swelling into godlike tyrants of darkness, the Ebonarchs
As a new Luminary, rise in power. Shatter the Ebonarch's abyssal power source to strip their immortality, and strike them down. Together with your fellow Luminaries, push back the Darkness with Light.

Awesome game! Have I only played 1.3 hours so far? yes, but once i get back from my trip and my crew can play again we are picking up right where we left off. This is the world I've been longing for. We had a BLAST! Idk who made this game but I do know he is a genius.
I absolutely love what this game is so far. It was actually shocking how visually pleasing it was off the hop, and how smooth my character played. However, this really is early early early access. I'm stoked to see what is comming and how this game develops. There is so much potential here for a perfectly simple yet detailed game. I will be checking in after every spot in the roadmap. It's fun and the vibes are great.

its very early in the alpha testing stage but i am enjoying the game a lot.
It just needs some time to cook , and im here for the wait to support the devs who you can tell are making something good ... for me on the steam deck its choppy as for now as the 2 guys doing it I feel they're going to get it done ... its way early tho but now i want to support devs whose motives are more aligned with what gaming used to be , fun ... read all the other reviews and if it feels right , try it ... it is early tho
Тоска смертная делать не чего это не альфа даже это так кусочек чегото
The game feels like from 1940s its just not fun, its clunky and horible.
So far so good. (admittedly only a few hours in, but happily working my way around the map) It's got 2 of my favourite things in a fantasy game...ability to play dwarf, and plenty of goblins to kill, with the occasional big golem for a bit more challenge. Admittedly it can get a bit tedious after a while, as there's not really any variety yet...the goblins are in packs of 4 usually, 1 archer, 3 with clubs, predictable reactions...I'm hopeful there'll be more enemy types along the way, maybe wolves, trolls, squirrels even. Graphics are smooth, music is nice (a bit repetetive, but that's no big deal), combat is easy enough. Character creation is pretty fine, several races to go for, and some nice customisation. I'm sure the guys making this have plenty of plans to add to this, and I'm looking forward to seeing them. Hopefully some crafting, more variety of loot, weapons, armor and enemies. For a 2-man team, this is a very impressive game so far and I wish the guys every success.
Please keep in mind that this game is still VERY early access. This game was made by a duo-developer team and thus far, it is quite impressive with what they have done. Has functional bones while yes, some may be brittle. Meaning, you may encounter some bugs and some mechanics can seem a bit wonky but it shouldn't take away the attraction the visuals it can offer. Some aspects are definitely aesthetically pleasing. I've been in touch with the founder of this game and it carries lots of potential. I know some of you may think it can be a bit overpriced for what the game has to offer in this very moment but the devs are willing to hear people's feedback and willing to constantly update/hotifx any issues. Most bugs I've encountered has been co-op only if you and a friend/partner were to play this, you may encounter some issues like I did. Yes, it can come off as a goblin-killing simulator but there are challenges you can do and partake in; it is still under development so take everything with a grain of salt. I ended up joining their community post-launch and they're very active; taking people's suggestions/recommendations to make it more playable for some. It's a work in progress so there's isn't too much you can base your judgement off considering there is a lot that has yet to be added in due time. It's an open world game that offer free roam and fast traveling in specific locations; there will be map expansions to accommodate for more fast traveling in the future. In a way, it can be considered a cozy game since you don't encounter players to PvP (I don't really enjoy random PvP) so that's a plus. Character creation is a bit meticulous and will be added more features in the near future. I'd say give it a try, I know it's not for everyone but for a starter game, I think it can go a long way especially with the community they have at hand.
This is a solid start. Would I sit and say this is a game of the year? No lol However I would say that this game is in Alpha and the developer has been very responsive in the discord. The game mechanics are simple but not crazy. There is allot that can be added but that is the selling point in my opinion is the fact that this is a foundation that can be built on and as things move forward I look forward to seeing this world grow and develop. Again don't jump in thinking this is a fully developed world cause its not its an Alpha game. Its only $16 so well worth jumping in and joining us for the long road of development come and help shape this world
