Luma Island

One of the best casual games ever. Played this with my son, two controllers can be used at the same time to play the same character, which is nothing but amazing for helping your little one every now and then.

Fun farming sim but not fond of the pixels. I can get by though because i enjoyed playing the story. A bit too grindy maybe but fun puzzles!

Came all the way to write a review this early in, because the sound design has really surprised me. It's a treat to just stand at camp and watch your stuff craft. And that's rare design these days. The gameplay is perfectly serviceable, if not particularly challenging. It has every QoL feature you can think of without being 'easy'. Another thing. The art is absolutely precious. The lighting and depth of field effects feel at home on the 3d effects. The MAP is immersive somehow? And it has good multiplayer because there are different professions to explore for each starting player that makes your farm come alive faster in some way. When I said it had EVERY QoL, I mean, literally, you don't have to sleep, you don't have to interact with npcs if you don't want to, you can just farm. Inventory just grows slots the more you gather. You have chests, if you want to organize, but you won't, you sick freak. Cozy gamers unite.

So far, I REALLY like this game and I think it has so much potential to be something that scratches a very particular itch. My one gripe is that you can't customize the inside of your house and so your houses just kind of become a bunch of buildings on your farm. The game invites you to build a beautiful farm, but to me, the interior of my house is part of that. One thing I adore about cosy games is the aesthetic aspect, and I think this game is mostly tuned into that but missing out on this particular element.

“vou só dar uma olhada no jogo” quando vi, já tava organizando minha fazenda como se fosse meu trabalho oficial é bonito, tranquilo e fácil de gostar aquele tipo de jogo que você abre sem compromisso… e fica bem mais do que planejava 👍 relaxante e agradável 👎 o tempo simplesmente desaparece recomendo — ótimo pra esquecer da vida por algumas horas
