It's a fun game and more than worth it's price, especially on sale. I just honestly kinda wished it had maybe only 2 or 1 route. The limited scope is not something I hold against the game, I just feel that it probably would have done better as a kinetik novel, to be able to focus everything and make it feel a bit less... Skippy so to speak. Well that and the 'Robot' chick, she is annoying, plain and simple as that. She is one of those 8th grader syndrome characters, which can be cute sure but having 8th grader syndrome is essentially her entire character which just makes her annoying as hell. That said, you will probably find a route that you will like Tifa- Standard childhood friend fare, nothing much to add there Stacey- Rich ♥♥♥♥♥ chick. A bit too overdone towards the middle (which to be fair is because her route it about making her realize that). In terms of romance you get what you expect as well, very outgoing, partying and confident but completely inexperienced in relationships and quite cute. Alex-I honestly have no clue, I think she tries to hide that she likes super sentai but you don't really learn anything about her if you don't play her route (and I went with Stacey).
俗套但是好
I loved this game! All routes are great (Stacey is the best girl!), the character designs are nice and cute, and the plot is very refreshing overall. I'd love to play more visual novels like this, 10/10!
peak fiction
definitely one of those games that should be around the MIXED level, although i like the characters... in their design and personality, there is TOO MUCH story (irony, because i always find it funny to say that, but i messed up, i thought this was MORE than a Romance AVN, so all this was too much talk for me) here and i skipped through it because of that... since it took so long to get the achievements, lol. then i realized it's a Romance AVN with no boobies, except 1 path with Stacy... you get to see some bra. Tifa is stacked, so that is such a waste, if there is a patch off Steam for adult 18+ then it is a waste that it wasnt brought to Steam, because it's good for 15 year olds, but i am a man of culture. just too much story, it's picture-stills, so no gifs on any of the dates or spicy locations. i dont ...feel wrong about purchasing it, it was fun, but it's just not a game that i believe deserves a very positive rating... too little H content and too much talky talky. i am a fan of Clannad but this just wasn't my pick on the Romance type... of game, i'm not saying 5 Hearts Under One Roof is better but at least i saw boobies in dat. -1 for no noodity, final score 6/10 not because it was bad, just too much dialog, i repeat, too much words.
a cute game but would be much better with NSFW um jogo fofo mas seria bem melhor com NSFW
It feels like a drag and an incomplete game, as other people mentioned. But I got some 3 hours of "entertainment", with a frustrating "popcorn pop" level ending. As I end the game, I feel not compelled to try the alternative routes.
it's a splendid little game. I got it on sale for 99 cents and I am beyond happy with it! It's somewhat short but you can go back and it opens a lot more dialogue going through all the options. The history tab is a little annoying since it starts at the oldest and not the newest messages so you have to scroll down a bunch, but other than that it is pretty enjoyable and pretty wholesome lol
LuGame: Lunchtime Games Club!, developed by UrbanM and Jellyfish Parade and published by Urban Meadows, is a lighthearted visual novel that leans heavily into character-driven storytelling and romantic comedy. Set within a school environment, it uses the framework of a struggling “games club” as a narrative excuse to bring together a small cast of distinct personalities, each with their own quirks and emotional arcs. Rather than focusing on gameplay complexity, the experience is built almost entirely around dialogue, interactions, and branching character routes, making it a straightforward but comfortable entry in the genre. The story unfolds through a series of casual, often humorous encounters as the protagonist becomes involved with the club and its members. While the premise suggests a focus on gaming, the narrative quickly shifts toward interpersonal dynamics, with most scenes centered on conversations, misunderstandings, and the gradual development of relationships. The tone remains consistently relaxed, mixing comedic exchanges with occasional moments of sincerity. It doesn’t attempt to deliver a deeply intricate plot, but instead prioritizes a sense of familiarity and charm, allowing players to settle into its rhythm without much effort. Character writing is where the game finds most of its appeal. Each heroine fits into recognizable archetypes, yet the game gives them enough individuality to make their routes engaging. Their personalities are expressed through lively dialogue and playful banter, which helps carry the experience even when the overarching narrative feels minimal. Some routes offer more satisfying development than others, and while certain character arcs may feel predictable, the interactions themselves are often entertaining enough to maintain interest. The emphasis on character chemistry over plot progression means that enjoyment largely depends on how much players connect with the cast. In terms of structure, the game follows a fairly traditional visual novel format. Players read through scenes and make occasional choices that determine which character route they pursue. The branching paths are relatively straightforward, with decisions often leading clearly toward specific outcomes rather than weaving together complex narrative threads. This simplicity makes the game accessible, especially for newcomers to the genre, but it also limits the sense of agency for those looking for more intricate storytelling. Replayability comes primarily from exploring different character routes rather than uncovering significantly different versions of the story. Visually, the game adopts a colorful anime-inspired style that emphasizes expressive character designs. The sprites are vibrant and help convey emotion effectively during conversations, which is essential for a dialogue-heavy experience. Backgrounds, while functional, tend to be less detailed and can feel somewhat generic in comparison. The overall presentation is pleasant and cohesive, even if it doesn’t push beyond the standards of the genre. The soundtrack and sound design serve their purpose without standing out, providing a consistent backdrop that supports the tone without drawing too much attention to itself. Despite its strengths, the game’s limitations are noticeable. The narrative rarely ventures beyond its comfort zone, and the central concept of a games club often feels underutilized, acting more as a setting than a meaningful thematic element. Additionally, the relatively simple choice structure and predictable character arcs may leave some players wanting more depth or variety. These issues don’t necessarily diminish the experience, but they do highlight its focus on accessibility over ambition. Ultimately, LuGame: Lunchtime Games Club! succeeds as an easygoing visual novel that delivers exactly what it sets out to do: provide a relaxed, character-focused story filled with humor and light romance. It doesn’t reinvent the genre or push narrative boundaries, but it offers enough charm and personality to make it enjoyable for fans of casual, slice-of-life storytelling. For players seeking a laid-back experience centered on engaging characters rather than complex gameplay, it serves as a solid and approachable option. Rating: 8/10
