Tags: Casual - Youth Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Unity engine over the shoulder walking simulator with hotspot interaction and simple but clunky puzzles. Features a perk system and a bland excuse for a story. The camera has a tendency to sway about in a wild manner. You can WASD or use mouseclicks but neither feel very fluid. There is also some minor platforming, it is unplesasant but not all that challenging. This game is completely on-rails and is about chasing hotspots and checkpoints so you can bring salvage back to your ship. There you can attach what you found to the ship for a greater completion, as well as mount some things as accessories to unlock yet more progression. While this aspect of the game falls into a pattern, something weird happens where you have to start collecting clues about your surroundings. Problem is your protagonist is a completely clueless robotic probe, and marvels at things like fire as if they are new things. This of course factors into a few small logical puzzles, with the goal of eventually finishing exploring the island and finishing repairing the ship. The game has this unpleasant glare. The environments are small and not very alien or creative. There is not much fun to be had in exploring in and of itself. The menus for the interactive puzzles are clunky and were probably designed for touch interfaces. Ultimately this is rather a subpar adventure, with too much in common with casualized console like experiences, but without the slick engine, the Xbox360 pad support or the cinematic story that those usually feature in an attempt to make up for gameplay. It is too boring and slow paced to really entertain children and the tone is not all that adult friendly leaving it with little to no niche to cater to as well.
ITS COOL
This game is really good in learning kids how physics works, and this even in 2025! Can only recommend
Ist zwar eher was für Kinder, aber dennoch ganz cool. ;)
karışık ve anlaşılmaz.
Is good for earning at he kid, but now the kid boring with this game
once you get over the repetitiveness of the first level as it only lets you pick up stuff you clearly should be picking up when it decides its time to let you its not a bad game at all, quite linear, very simple but still fun
Probably the only educational game I've ever enjoy playing. It made it educational, but didn't forget the game part of it
I'm a Science teacher. This should be an easy win with me. However, this buggy and slow edutainment game with with tank controls misses the mark. Far too much 'edu' (walls of text and quizzes) and not enough 'tainment' to say the least.
The controls are awful. There are three alternative control schemes for the main character but no way to remap them. I have found the click to move one necessary for the 3d platforming section. The dialogue overstays its welcome by having the main character bicker with the ship that crashed him on Earth. There is educational value in the way it presents energy optimization or cost effectiveness strategies but the effect is ruined by buggy or difficult mini-games. For example, pumping water into the reservoir at night and generating electricity during the day are great to learn about, but the mini-game compresses days into seconds while you are frantically switching the pumps. But despite finishing it and getting through the bugs and crashes, the reason for the thumbs down is I can't recommend it to anyone. I don't understand how someone could create an educational product which has you use diodes, mentions the spectral nature of light and in the next second asks what the big ball of light in the sky is. I understand LUDWIG is an alien robot learning about our world but what kind of player knows the word "phenomenon" before knowing what fire is? The rewards of these questions are a knowledge encyclopedia which literally links to Wikipedia articles at the end of the summaries. So to those who want to know more about forms of energy and harnessing them, I also recommend reading Wikipedia. To people looking for a cautionary environmental story about a garbage gathering robot which tries to save the humans trapped on a spaceship after they have destroyed earth, I recommend the movie Wall-E.
