Duck but cowboi
Played the game for a few minutes, died trying to jump across a gap because I thought I didn't press jump, tried again and when I was trying to methodically cross a double gap with a small platform in the middle I realized the controls are broken; sometimes (very frequently) when you land a jump the character will continue to run in the direction you are facing with NO input. A game where my character decides to run by himself when I have to do tight platforming? No thanks. Controls are A S S.
I didn't like the the game play.
Great game. I mastered the challenge and difficulty. I could see a potential upgraded and fluent-controlled sequel if the developer is willing Could use some guides or hints with some of the achievements however The only issue I had was the unskippable dialogue and cutscenes which can be annoying if you're bad at the game or achievement hunting Also, there could've been more content inside clover creek (More guns, Abilities, Mini Games) Other than that, I loved the concept and style of gameplay
A very challenging side scrolling action adventure set in western times with a hip-hop soundtrack and a duck for a sidekick. If nothing else this game wins on originality. You're a silent hero cleaning up a town from various gangsters. You get in gunfights with their minions through various spaghetti western tropes like old mines and speeding trains, which creates some nice valiancy in the levels. You have a gun with a limited chamber and unlimited reloads, which forces you to bring a little strategy into gunfights and count your shots. The enemies also have to reload so you'll constantly be looking for your opening. You also have a throwing knife that your faithful duck will bring back to you. The cool part is there is a luck mechanic: you collect points after defeating foes and you become luckier. This saves you later with bullets that skew away from you or plants growing out from the side of a cliff just as you were about to plummet to your death. The soundtrack is really the star of this game. Hip Hop with a western mix really shines in this game and gives it an upgrade from the typical music you would hear in a game like this. Extra inspired ideas like using scratching to represent dialogue really bring the sound together in this game. The graphics are just lazy. Pixel art is great but you still need shadows and texture. This game is missing that and could have been a nice 16-bit style game but instead looks amateurish. Overall this game is solid and if you enjoy old school shooters you're going to enjoy this. It's got tons of character and is very challenging. 4/5
A lovey little game that inspired much in my own RPG realm.
Played the game a long time ago, but remember beating it and enjoying it.
