About
Everyone is a suspect. Unmask their lies. Choose one to purge.
Lucifer Within Us asks you to solve player-directed, story rich mysteries with your wits, making observations and deductions in a world of daemonic possession and invasive soul-scanning technology.
From the creator of The Shrouded Isle.

Question your suspects. Watch their movements and testimonies closely, as the reconstruction may be based on lies. Use contradictions and clues to form your own hypothesis. Who is lying and why? Who is possessed? You must decide what is the truth for yourself, based on the evidence presented.
No hidden plot twists, no QTEs, no random puzzles or mini-games, just you and the information. In all 3 cases, don’t just act like a detective -- BE a detective. Finding the murderer will require true understanding of the case, not just following the story.

Enter the minds of citizens to gain insight into what they don’t want you to know. Dig through their subconscious and accuse the guilty in order to cast out their daemons, for the good of the Inquisition. Any damage done to a citizen’s psyche as a result of quarantine, exorcism, or rehabilitation is a consequence of their own immorality.
Through centuries of indoctrination, humanity is taught to think pure thoughts and speak true words, untainted by falsehoods and delusions. Yet beneath this facade of purity, you find dark desires stir deep within people’s hearts, yearning for release.

As a digital exorcist working for the Church of Ain Soph’s Inquisition, it is your duty to find sinners and ensure continued harmony. Digital daemons corrupt the network cause human hosts to act on secret desires and sins, even unto murder. Discover the One Truth to determine which citizens are infected and exorcise the possessed.

Built on the rubble of the Old World, the last human city has become a utopia of progress, digitization, and art. The Church guides citizens towards advancement and Truth with the aid of a digital consciousness network.
Use all of the tools at your disposal to find the truth, wherever it may hide… and beware the lies you tell yourself.

A cool spin on the detective game formula which allows you to track and cross-reference timelines of up to 3 characters' versions of events. Very short story and hilariously rushed ending. Not bad for $3 though.
intriguing mechanics that make for a unique experience with some good visual art yet the mysteries in each of the cases feel as shallow as the predictable culprits. Very disappointed by this one
Unsatisfying, short, and left me wanting more
Good detective game with a unique setting. I wish there were more cases. And remember to click on the head after unmasking a lie, I forgot to do that once and was stuck for a long time.
Infelizmente é muito curto para o preço base. Ainda sim vale a pena esperar uma promoção e jogar, a investigação e a identidade visual do jogo é ótima, tudo ornou muito bem com essa pegada religiosa do game
Nice story. Mid gameplay, the game is very short and all levels feel the same
Absolutely gorgeous. Would love to play more games like this. The story left me wanting to dive deeper.
It is with a heavy heart that I must say I do not recommend this game. The positives are the aesthetic and it's got the beginnings of a great story. A very fun idea not fully executed. The cases are short (an hour each, maybe more to get all the achievements), and also very small. At most there are 3 suspects in each case. Not just three suspects, though; there are only three total NPCs to interact with, which is very tiny. The idea that you have to know the daemon's name is interesting, but there's only 4 listed, and they tell you about them at the beginning, it's nothing more than a chance to add a little flavor to the basic mystery formula. The game also decides to put all the exposition at the very end, leading to a story that had all its mystery sucked out via one long dialogue between two characters. The way to solve mysteries is based around comparing the timelines of multiple people to find who is lying, while also using evidence to help. It's very engaging, if a bit difficult to get used to. (It's probably why the NPCs per case is so small too, to help reduce the cognitive load, but I feel like keeping track of more characters would be possible) I did run into a couple of issues of how to show contradictions, but I managed to work my way through it. Getting my grand reveals each case was relatively satisfying, though the bland voice acting takes away some of the punch. In the end, the game is over too fast with an ending that just sucks all the fun of solving the cases.
Excellent !
